Sorry to hear about your negative result Skaps x

Elephant, very jealous of you at Glastonbury! I really hope to go one day but it isn't DHs scene at all so I need to rope someone else in to go with me! And great news to come back to - it's such a lottery so great that it has worked in your favour this time! Am I right in saying you start tomorrow?

TamVilla - hope your appointment went well today and we can officially congratulate you!

I was supposed to be having my rescheduled op today but it was cancelled again, this time due to lack of beds because of the heatwave. At least I got the call early on this time rather than a day of starvation and disappointment! I spent a good hour in frustrated tears this morning but am feeling more ok about it now. It did make me feel anxious about whether I can deal with what the future may hold if I can't even cope with this stage of things. But all we can do is keep going I guess! Fingers crossed my new date won't be too far off. Sorry for the whinge... x

  • ShrimpyOh Glastonbury is Amazing definitely something to put on the bucket list! :) I know I can't believe that our luck was in and that the council have done something that works in our favour for once! :-)

Yes I start my sniffer tomorrow morning one sniff 4 times a day. If I don't get a period in the next 10 days I have to ring and get the tablets straight away to induce the period as last time I was waiting for nearly two weeks prolonging the treatment.

Hope your operation is booked in again very soon for you. All this messing you around isn't on at all is it! Fingers crossed for a date ASAP! Xxx

That must be so frustrating Shrimpy, hope you don't have to wait too long.

Been to the doctors today, apparently three tests can't be wrong and it does seem like we have actually done it. To be honest, I can't quite believe it and certainly haven't got my head around it yet, but it's early days.

I might go and poke my head in the next thread, but don't feel I belong there yet. Going to quieten down on here thought, but will still be keeping an eye on you all. I really genuinely appreciate all the support and chat we have had over the last couple of years and wish you all the very best xxx

Thanks ladies, got a new date already of 21st July and it's now with my consultant whereas originally it was with one of his colleagues so I'm pleased about that as at least he knows my history. Silver linings I guess!

Official congratulations then TamVilla! :D I'm sure no one will mind you keeping us company in here for a while longer!

Trigger warning, OTD results at the bottom.

Wow, can't believe you got delayed again Shrimp, third time's the dream eh :)

Congratulations Tam!! Was this a complete surprise? Bet you're so excited.

Afm, today is OTD and I'm very excited to have my first ever BFP in 6 years of TTC and unexplained IF. I'll confess I tested early a few times, lines have been getting darker for two days now. Our clinic doesn't do beta testing unless you bleed, so now we're in a second 2ww until our first scan. I think it'll feel more real then (all being well) as so far I don't really have any symptoms at all.

I'm sending out so much love and peace to you all (without wishing to sound like a wannabe messiah!) Much like Tam I'll probably take a little while to move on to the next thread.

    Floaty xxxx
35, OH 39, unexplained IF (all tests normal), no joy w/ 3 cycles of Clomid, IVF1, Jan 2015 - BFN. Currently in 1st FET cycle using endo scratch and EmbryoGlue, BFP 4th July. MC 12th July :'(

Congratulations Floaty! Lovely news, hope the next 2 weeks (and indeed 9 months!) passes quickly and is thoroughly dull and uneventful ;) x

Thanks for the good wishes ladies, and congrats Floaty, that's great news.
I don't think it has sunk in yet, don't think it will until I actually see something in there that is growing and healthy. Having honestly thought it would never happen then getting a bfp 4 weeks before starting our first major treatment at the fertility clinic, it's just too weird for me to get my head around!

You could opt to pay for a private scan at 7-8 weeks, rather than wait for the standard 12 week NHS scan. If you have IVF, you get a scan 'included' at that point. It can't be done earlier than that as the heartbeat isn't reliably detectable until that point and they don't want people to have a scan and panic if there's no heartbeat when everything may well be fine.

Just be aware it's an option. :)
