    Hiya :)

There was no pain, less than a smear test. The full bladder thing was horrible. We'd been told to arrive at 10.30 so did, and filled my bladder, and then had to wait ages and ages! Three times I had to pop to the loo to do a tiny wee, and my bladder was still too full when they scanned me :)

OH was allowed to come in and watch too, which was nice. And, as I said, we were shown the blasto on screen and allowed to snap a photo.

I had to lie down for 5 minutes afterwards before going to the loo. The nurse explained that it was just in case I felt faint, rather than any danger of anything falling out :D

Overall it was a pretty enjoyable experience, which is how I would hope it to be, given that it had to be IVF...

Good news about your fertilisation report, hope everything goes really smoothly from here on in xx

  • Floaty glad to hear your ET was enjoyable - it's nice that it can still be a special moment isn't it. I had a little cry lying down after mine, think it's partly the relief.

Skaps and Emma you're almost there too, so glad to hear cycles going well ladies!! We need some good news on this thread xxx

Exciting news for people then. Glad to hear everything is going well at the moment.
Feeling terribly crampy tonight so I'm either going to ovulate early, or ... I don't know. I'm only CD14. If I am then its terrible timing as OH is away with work and I won't see him until Tuesday. Feel like I am putting myself through so much for no reason. What's the point in taking clomid and suffer the side effects if I don't even see my OH during the time I need to?
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.

Has anyone been told that they must eat moremail protein. I was told on Wednesday when I had my scan and have eaten slightly more but don't know when to stop.

Full bladder advice from someone who pees continuously normally:

Pee 75 mins before the appt then drink a pint / 500ml of water over the next half hour (finishing it by 45 mins before appt).

500 ml is enough and it takes 30-45 mins for fluid to reach your bladder after drinking. I did the above and I just started to feel the need to pee a few mins before we were called in but wasn't desperate. :)

I found that advice on other forums and it worked a treat. Wish clinics gave specific advice like that! I was scared I hadn't drunk enough as at first in the waiting room I didn't need to pee but it hit my bladder bang on time. :D
