I had my scan on Tuesday (yesterday) and there are 26 follicles there. They have had to give me bureselin as im over the 17 plus threshold and at risk of OHSS but theres no fluid in my abdomen in the scan so hopefully at 1030 tomorrow EC will happen... Shall give you an update after that..

Thank you Emma. I hope you're not feeling too uncomfortable with all those follies! Good luck for EC tomorrow. I found it painless and fine - slept right through it! I'm like Tea when it comes to anaesthetic and sedation Wear baggy clothes in case you're tender afterwards.

Skaps, hope the scan today went well and you know when EC will be now

AFM, I'm waiting for a phone call tomorrow with an update on our 3 embies and a plan for transfer. I'm trying my best to be calm and not get too worst-case-scenario about everything. DH is good at keeping me positive, and I'm distracted today looking after my Mum who had an operation on her ankle recently. The next 24 hours are going to be loooong

Yes it went well and EC is Friday. Got to wake up at 12.15am to do the boost injection and then no more injections for now. Don't know how many follicles.
I had to take Cetrotride today because of the same thing Emma. f Although no idea how many I have as I was annoyed at this point (I was thinking it would not be until Monday for EC and this had irritated me - stupid I know but I had mentally prepared myself for Friday - now it is Friday) so I did not listen to how many.

Cetrotide is given to prevent natural ovulation, as far as I know everyone gets it, or another drug to do the same.
If you have a high number of follicles however you are given a burserelin trigger shot instead of a hcg one as hcg can reactive your ovaries and cause OHSS whereas burserelin doesn't

That's exciting skaps!! I know what you mean about mentally preparing but just think - less injections to do now! I have started to think EC is the best bit xx
