PM - that is bad if they make your depression worse. x

Isla - I'm not great, just thinking about how to survive the next few days. x

I think I have some apologising to do to one of my friends tonight. I may have kind of snapped at her last night.
We all have a tendency of sat talking to each other on chat during OBEM (except I couldn't bare to watch the last series), so sat last night waiting for it to start and the chat commence. But no one else watched it, so was starting to imagine doing this in previous series (to be frank I'm over tired at the moment and as I suffer from depression am quite scared of it coming back at the moment, so wouldn't be surprised if I had imagined it).
Then my friend pops up saying she couldn't bear to watch it as, as she already had two children, she felt it would upset her as she didn't have the choice of having any more. I may slightly have snapped and commented that some people didn't have the choice of having any.

She doesn't know we have been trying without success. To be frank this whole thing has got to me now (the trying), we don't seem to be getting anywhere. Our test results still haven't turned up, they don't see what problem it is that our appointment has moved again, and my friends only comment was that I should see this as an opportunity to lose the weight. Except the weight isn't shifting at all. And hubby won't even help me write a letter of complaint (I am not very eloquent with words).
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.

Sewit they make it very hard to see a light at the end of the tunnel etc and spend a lot free time in bed.

    Vesper hugs to you.
  • Hello ladies :) I haven't posted in a while but hopefully a few of you might remember me *waves*

A little recap about me :
ICSI in May 2013 - chemical pg
ICSI in Aug 2013 - bfn (on this cycle the lab overheated 2 thirds of the embies in error, so agreed our next full cycle would be free)
FET in Jan 2014 - chem / early mc

So we saw the consultant the week before last. We discussed a hysteroscopy but they said they only usually do this after 3 mc's (we've had 2). Eventually we agreed we'd try a fresh ICSI cycle in April (our free go due their lab error) but they'd put me on the waiting list for the hysteroscopy in the meantime as the waiting list is 18 weeks.

Anyway the hospital rang me this afternoon and they've had a cancellation for a hysteroscopy for this Friday and did I want it. THIS FRIDAY!!! I was pretty taken aback by it being so unexpectedly quick but said I'd take it. Got the pre-op assessment this Thursday morning.

So now I'm totally freaking out. What if they have a root around and find something so utterly wrong with me that I'll never have a proper pregnancy??? (I don't have any known probs - we have male factor infertility).

I'm also worried as they won't do the op if I have AF. I started bleeding with the early mc on 1st Feb so *think* I should be ok? (Cycle is normally 30 days). They said they rarely get cancellations). Hope I did the right think saying I'd go ahead this soon?

Aaarghhh! Anyone have any experience of this procedure?

  • SewIt, am praying for you (and fairy and frozen) and will be thinking of you tomorrow morning. I've not had much to post about of late but am still lurking and cheering you all on.

Please could I be updated on the list? Sadly we are both a year older :o now but are starting a new cycle. Had the scratch yesterday and wasn't bad at all.

•Wonder Woman TTC#1 for approx. 2 years. Me: 28, no known problems, DH: 35, problem with vas deferens. One failed NHS IVF cycle (long protocol). Next step: Self funded IVF cycle. Started DR on 25th Feb14. Endo scratch on 24th Feb14.

Vesper you sound well within your rights to have snapped - drives me crazy when our families whine about how they are so upset they can't have a boy/girl/another baby.

Always watch OBEM though, its so lovely when they have couples on that have been through IVF :)

ETA: Isla - great news you got on a cycle, woooooo!

Thanks for all the support and good wishes ladies. I am literally terrified to test, so much so that I don't think I can do it. But I know I need to so will try and find the strength in the morning.

    Hugs to you all, x
  • SewIt Good luck for you tomorrow, have everything crossed for you :) xx

Frozen it is very hard to stay positive throughout this whole process but your embryo is in the very best place to be rather than a lab. Also they always transfer the ones that look the best first & freeze (if any) the spares.

WonderWoman Good luck with your cycle. I have heard positive things about endo scratches :)

Lucy I had a laparoscopy a few years ago which is similar (I think?) it was done under GA & I think I had just finished my period a week before I went in. I wouldn't have thought that they would find something that would make it impossible for you to pregnant :) but it is normal to think the worst with this type of things :) xx

Vesper don't blame you for snapping at them, people don't realise how lucky they are not having any fertility problems xx

PM Big hugs for you, would the counselling help you while you are on the meds to help you through it? xx

Isla Good luck with your cycle. I found Zita West books really helpful for understanding what's happening :)

Hugs to those that need them & who I've missed xx

AFM I had a brown thread like clot before bed last night but other than that nothing else this am or evening. I usually feel crampy when I'm in bed but I suppose that's because my body is relaxed that I feel everything. Also maybe sounds a bit grim so apologies in advance but when I go to have a pee I smell a metallic/blood kind of smell, smells like when you have your period but there is no blood.....very strange!! Has anyone else ever experienced this?
