The Trials & Tribulations of Trying to Conceive when its just not happening (12m+)

Fairy - that is great news! Maybe it was implantation bleeding which got a bit stuck? (fingers crossed!) Have you had any cramping this morning? Mine tends to be more in the morning then it dies down around lunch time.
PM - I also feel like its never going to happen for us, though we haven't been trying for 7 years. I am in awe of your strength.
BM - Sorry the test was negative and that AF has not arrived yet. I know you say you are never late, but all sorts of things can cause AF to show late, including stress or illness. I understand the feeling of panic (the one thing I can also rely on is AF always turning up!) but it is very unlikely that it is your last period ever. Sh*t advice I know, but think you will just need to wait a bit longer
Star1 - why don't you call your clinic and say that you have a BFP and get them to issue the prescription? I am not sure if asking random people on the internet to send you prescription drugs is the best idea, but maybe a wee white lie might get you what you need?! I hope it all works out for you.
Code - I've been thinking about you lately and wondering how you are getting on? Now that a few weeks have passed, have you and your DH been able to chat any more about your options? Have you resisted the urge to kill DH?!
Tea - are you going to go with the clinic? Do you have any concerns over their clinical care, or just their ability to get admin right?! Did they explain why you couldn't fill the forms out at the scan?
AFM - hubby said that keeping the pee until tonight would probably not work (he is a nurse, but I am not convinced he knows about HCG in pee) but he was very insistent! So we'll be testing tomorrow. Feeling very, very down and not 100% sure I can face the result0 -
Fairy - hugs to you, I'm only 3dp5dt and already I can feel my positivity draining away. Is it not long now til your OTD? (I think I remember you mentioning Sun?) xx
bigmomma - hope AF turns up soon for you xx
PM and tea - hugs to you both, sometimes the NHS can just be completely carpy. xx
SewIt - thinking of you as well, I can't imagine what it must be like knowing you have to wait til tomorrow. Would it be worth doing a cheapie test in the evening anyway? (although on second thoughts, that might make it worse). xx
loveactually - I was on Provera at the same time as Buserelin; my cycles are irregular so they had to use that to induce AF so I'm not sure whether Buserelin on it's own can delay AF. Probably worth ringing your clinic to check. xx
AFM - feeling pretty rubbish at the moment to be honest. The embryologist rang yesterday afternoon and said there was nothing good enough quality to freeze on Sunday morning. She was very apologetic about it and asked several times if I was okay but the thought's constantly running through my mind that if they couldn't survive in the lab, then what hope does it have in me?
On top of that, 15 minutes after the phone call, one of the girls at work announced that her girlfriend and long term partner is 16 weeks pregnant with their first - and they've been trying for 2 years (which we found out translates to 4 or 5 treatments).
Can I perch on someone's sofa for a cry? I can bring some creme eggs roundxxx

Oh we're paying thousands for this level of crapness!
Hugs everyone, I think we need we need a huge multipack of creme eggs to get us through the day xx.0 -
Fp, sewit and tea sending huge hugs your way.
I was ment to start the hormones yesterday but forgot, think knowing there not going to do much makes it all seem pretty pointless.0 -
Hugs to all those that need them, seems it's all a bit difficult just now.
After 2 hours this morning, finally got through to our clinic and we are at last on a cycle.
Officially petrified and only now realising how little I understand about this.

Isla woohoo great news.0

Isla - brilliant news! Is today CD1 or did you call with predicted dates to make sure you got on the next cycle? I think that is the best thing to do as they do seem to be very busy at the moment.
PM - hugs, hugs and more hugs! Start them tomorrow and call today a wright off!
Tea - even more annoying when you are paying thousands for them to c*ck up!
Frozen - they are miles better in you than they are in a lab! Honestly. The environment they create in the lab is good, but not perfect and the best way to grow them is to get them in you. Huge hugs to you too though, I know the sinking feeling only too well.
Creme eggs all around. Actually I prefer mini-eggs, can I have them instead?0 -
Today is an unexpected and unusual 5 day early CD1. I know I should be woo hoo but I'm currently stuck at
*dumps in a King size bag of mini eggs*
How are you doing SewIt?Sealed Pot Challenge #9550 -
Sewit I should really get the pills down my throat but I know they make my depression so much worse.0
-
Sewit - fingers crossed for you tomorrow. I'm really hoping you have a BFP (and Fairy & Frozen too).
Frozen big hugs on your embryos. Your embryo is in the best place possible, inside you. 2ww is so difficult.
Isla :j exciting!
PM hugs. I wish there was something the doctors could really do to sort things out quickly for you (excluding major surgery). The biscuit will only dare to be just a biscuit when it is with its true friend the potato. (Edward Monkton) :beer:0
