I would be phoning back and asking to speak to someone else and kicking up a huge fuss. She sounds like she had t got a clue what she's on about!!
That's completely ridiculous. They kind of know when we will be booking our first scan but only because we have a day 21 appointment for our scratch otherwise you do just call up on day one. I'm equally sure we have signed consents on starting a cycle before also, surely this issue is just gonna happen again next month unless you sign consents some time in the middle of your cycle?!

Thanks all. Have calmed down a bit (am still raging, and v upset, but have stopped bawling for now).

The consents last 12 months, and we last signed them at the start of Jan 2013. We were told we couldn't start before christmas as EC/ET would have been in the shut-down, so this cycle was always going to start at some point in 2014, and the consents were always going to be out of date.

I'm sure it is a nightmare trying to fit all the appointments in (I do something kind of similar in my job, and it's a PITA) but it's not the fault of the people who's AF has just arrived (or where I work, the people who have just been told they're travelling to China the next day and need a medical before they go).

We're customers, and we're paying them a lot of money. I don't expect them to be able to magic appts out of thin air if there really aren't any, but I do expect a bit of respect when I speak to them.

The repeat-repeat info session (we've had about 6 now!) is booked for monday, and this cycle is definitely a no-go. The one thing they've offered is norethisterone so we'll only (!!) be waiting another month.

I know it's silly to be upset about a month, but I am, very. It also means that we'll be starting a year on from last time. I don't want another reminder of those dates.

Aargh, now I'm bawling again.

Tea massive hugs. Is there anyone else at the hospital you can speak to? I'm not surprised you're angry and upset as your clinic (and that nurse especially) sound inflexible and unempathetic. Surely they can do your scan on Monday and you & your DH sign the forms on the same day. I started stims and had scans on CD4 in both my short protocol cycles and the clinic asked us to sign the consent forms at the time. I couldn't agree more about the short notice appointments; they're a given with short protocol.

Thanks RG. They won't start any later than CD3, flaming typical. Have no idea why we couldn't just sign the forms at the same time as the scan (which they could have fitted in today or tomorrow). Muppets.

Huge hugs tea , how frustrating with the hospital and also the nurses. These people they have all the power in their hands and we are just puppets. I hope something sorts out for you soon enough.

Afm - I m knackered today people visiting me this weekend so just cleaned and vacuumed the whole house top to bottom and still mopping to do. I think burserelin is making me tired.

Thanks ladies going to have scan whilst bleeding on mon, guess I'm used to it by now. Think I'm lucky if ive had around 10 days break in3 months.im dreading bleeding Again on the injections.

La have a sit down if you can, I've been cleaning as we have the in laws coming.
