Flee - welcome back. Not that anyone really wants to be here, but hello anyway! Have a creme egg from me x.
PM - have everything crossed that you speak to someone decent on Monday and they come up with a proper plan for you.
FP - sounds like you have some top-notch embies lady! Best of luck for ET tomorrow.
All the PUPO ladies - how's things? When will you all be testing?

Well.... AF ARRIVED!!! So now I have the massive job of trying to get through to the hospital to arrange a scan. Left them a message first thing and am now debating when I can leave another one. They are notoriously difficult to get hold of. I know they're open briefly on sat mornings so have everything crossed that I can speak to someone today and they can see me for a scan tomorrow.... then I can hopefully start stimms tomorrow night - eek!

I just caved and called them again. Have left another message so really hoping they call back soon. I hate how difficult it is to get through to them - particularly as it makes me feel about 16 again, sitting here wondering if it's too soon to call again, if I look over-eager lol.

ETA: I also really want to go and get my lunch but then they'll call! There are more appropriate places for that conversation than the middle of a workplace cafe!
  • Tea :j. I hope the hospital calls you very very soon.

Frozen your embryos sound brilliant. Good luck tomorrow.
Sewit & fairy - how are you?

PM - hope your appointment goes well and the doctor can stop the bleeding. Big hugs to you.

Hi flee, I hope your stay is short.

As predicted... they called as soon as I went for lunch.... and it went downhill from there :(

Our consents are out of date as our last info session was 31st Oct. During that session we were told we couldn't start during the next cycle because of christmas, so we were always going to be starting in at least Jan. Our last consent forms were signed in early Jan 13, so they were bound to be out of date, even without this long cycle. This wasn't mentioned at all - we were just told to call on CD1 and kick things off.

Have spent 40mins on the phone to an incredibly rude nurse who clearly doesn't understand anything about the 'caring' profession. For some reason we can't sign the consents until Monday which means we can't start this cycle. They could have got me in for a scan this afternoon or tomorrow morning and I asked repeatedly why we couldn't sign the consents then but she just kept saying they were a legal document.

So after all that waiting we have another whole cycle to wait, and I know it isn't even that long in the grand scheme of things but it could be another 50+ days, and I was so psyched up for this. Called OH in floods of tears and I don't think he could work out what I was saying. Just feels like this is too hard, like it's not meant to be.

Sat at work bawling my eyes out and with a stonking headache. And my jacket potato's gone cold :(
  • Oh Tea, I didnt want to read and run.

I'm so sorry. Why were you not told any of this earlier? surely the fact that you have signed consent forms before means that you know what you want to do.

Why can't they get you to sign the forms today before the scan?

I don't understand why some of these people work in the fertility industry with attitudes the way they do.

Tea - that is great news! I am always amazed at how quick the short protocol is, it takes about 5-6 weeks off the whole process! I would keep calling them, its more important that you get on this cycle than making them a wee bit annoyed! - EDIT - just saw your last post, that is utter SH*T! Why can't you sign them when you go in for the scan?? I am totally outraged and gutted on your behalf. Is it worth calling and speaking to someone else? Or the HFEA for a bit of guidance? How long do the consents last for?

LittleMe - I second that, some of the nurses are a bit cold and uncaring. I get we are just numbers to them, but we are people who's whole future is hinging on the treatment and a bit of compassion is vital.

PM - I am so hoping they can fix the bleeding and get you on a good treatment path that will lead to your forever baby.

RG - I am still here, that is probably the best I can say at the moment. How about you? Your OTD must be very soon, this weekend? I want so much for this to work for you (and all of us lovely follie foursome)

Fairy - how are you doing? How many days are you now? 6pd3dt?

Frozen - what a lovely lot of great embies you have there. Best of luck for tomorrow and I hope that your remaining three freeze well.

Emylou - never used CBFM so can't help sorry! But welcome to the board, hope its a short and sweet stay!

Flee - welcome back. Hope your TTC-ing goes smoothly now the cysts have been removed.

Lisa - exciting times for you ahead! hope the time flies until 10th march

AFM - think I am starting to get crampy AF type pains. This is exactly the same point as they started in the last cycle, but think that it could be psychological too. The cramping went away a wee bit, but now is back and is more centred around the womb area from what I can tell. No spotting this time though and more CM. Boobs still sore and swollen so no idea what to make of it all. I honestly feel like I am being mentally tortured today and think that it will last most of the weekend. OTD is either Tue or Wed. Reason I'm not sure is that I have 25th in my head, which is Tue, but also have Wed stuck in my head, which would be 26th! Shows how positive I am about this cycle that I can't even be bothered to remember the OTD. The test/paperwork etc is in the back of the car where I threw it on ET day!

Think this is going to be a tough week ladies.......

I asked her that (a lot!) but she just kept on saying they were legal documents (so only valid on a monday?? what does that even mean?)

Exactly. If you're going to get annoyed with upset hormonal ladies who are pinning all their hopes on you then maybe get a different job where you don't need any people skills. She really made out like we were a massive nuisance and how dare we try and fit in an appointment with no notice. Does she get how SP works?? CD1 arrives, you need a scan by CD2 - no notice available!!!

Am so !!!!ed off with the world right now. Just want to go home and cuddle my cat :(
