littleme - just to add as well, I only had an ultrasound and a HSG, they didn't even mention a laproscopy. ET at the moment is planned for 10.30am on Saturday. I'm counting down the hours til then (although I know everything can change in a heartbeat
)
The embryologist rang my mobile this morning (which almost gave me a heart attack as she's rung the home phone every other day). It's all still fine though, still 4 little embies hanging on in there. Embryo 1 is 8 cell and grade A; embryo 2 is 8 cell and grade A, embryo 3 is 8 cell and grade B and the last little straggler is only 6 cell and grade B.
RG, SewIt, Fairy - how are you three lovely PUPO ladies getting on? xxx0 -
So exciting FP, how many will you have transferred? Will you freeze any?
Speaking of which, if you decide to freeze some, I was told this cost about an extra 1k, do you pay up front or when you have the ET?0 -
picklekin - I'm only having one transferred (well, hopefully, I know there's still 48 hours to get through). The clinic explained all the reasons for and against and said the fact that I'm 31, fairly healthy, and it's only the first go means they'd recommend a single embryo transfer. I can see their point so I'm going to go with one at the moment.
If there's any good ones to freeze, then yep, we'll definitely freeze them. Where we are (Bath Fertility Clinic) they freeze them free of charge for the first year followed by a £175 charge each year after that (they invoice you each year). A FET Cycle then costs £1207 which I think you just pay as and when you decide to have treatment. Not sure how that compares with anywhere else, but we're fine with it!0 -
Frozen Your embryos are doing very well as 6-8 cells are where they should be at for day 3!
LittleMe I had a lap & dye as my nhs say it's the gold standard way of checking for infertility. I know that each trust is different though. It wasn't too bad and you get a week off work
RG/SewIt how are you both getting on? When is your OTD? Have either of you been tempted to test yet?
I'm now 5dp3dt and feel nothing! Boobs are sore but put that down to the cyclogest. Did have a few cramps on Tuesday afternoon where I was doubled over for a few seconds but think that would be too early for implantation & likely due to ovaries etc trying to settle down. I've been googling ever since transfer to see what the embryos would be doing day by day. Please say I'm not the only one that does this?!

Oh that's good info, thanks! In my head cramming more in means more chance, but I guess its not really like that! I'm glad the price is broken down like that for the freezies, I'm happy to pay a bit up front, but obviously, your hoping you wont need them!0

Definitely not the only one! I googled every day, from 1dp5dt to 16dp5dt (OTD). Then carried on googling anyway. Have everything crossed for you all xx.
Am currently googling 'can my period get stuck' :rotfl:. That's what it feels like!0 -
Fairy - I'm 7dp3dt so probably too early to test. I have sore, slightly swollen boobs and lots of what I can only describe as 'activity' down in that area. I feel a bit of a dull niggle, but its not the same as AF pains as far as I can tell so far. I am aware that this could change at any moment though. Also still getting twinges in my ovaries so hoping they settle down soon. I also googled everyday on my first cycle, not had the energy to do it this time around.
Its weird to think that the outcome has already been decided (i.e. either embie has implanted or not) but that we just don't know it yet!
RG - how are you? Are you tempted to test?
Frozen - your embies sound great! Fingers crossed for Saturday.
Tea - can your AF get stuck?0 -
Opps sorry love actually.0

Tea - can your AF get stuck?
Well... according to my incredibly scientific google study, probably not. Am just a bit concerned that something weird has happened in there because of endo and AF is trapped. I am aware as I type this how mad I sound! It just feels so close... and yet so far lol. This really will push the tmi boundaries but for the past 5 days I've had a bit of reddish spotting if I, ahem, push a bit (blushes!), but then nothing again. Which is why I'm now worrying about why it can't get out. And worrying that by the time something does happen the initial scan will show the lining isn't right to start ICSI. And basically just worrying about everything today.
Off to have a word with myself!0 -
Sewit - DR is going fine. Waiting for the scan on 3rd march to see if I can start stimming or not.
PM - don't say sorry it was an honest mistake.
Afm - all these days I was thinking my pct only offers one cycle.but on appointment day I was told they will also offer one FET if they are embryos and if first cycle does not work. They are paying for the freezing also. I hope I don't need that but something positive.
All the best to folliefoursome. When are your test dates?
Frozen - good news on the embies. All the best.Saving goal for BTL mortgage - 28600 / 60000 ( July 2021) , 37600/60000 (December 2021) , 39300 / 60000 (august 2022) , 41000/60000 ( January 2023)0
