Thanks for the good wishes. After a good cry and spending the day in my pjs eating comfort food I'm feeling better.

The fertility bracelet made me smile and remember when I went to a psychic! Guess I'll try anything however daft it might seem.

Have to say I was fine on the IVF meds but I was on steroids this time round. I spent the last few weeks eating EVERYTHING in sight!

Keep going girls, stay strong. xx

Thank you for the lovely welcome - after I posted I realised how nutty TTC has made me, I wouldn't normally introduce myself to a group oF strangers on the internet by announcing that OH was you no what-ing into a jar that morning! Thank you for not freaking out! I think his borderline result was due to being close to an hour getting them to the hospital so suspect these ones will be better, he was only borderline on one of three results (morphology maybe? One that is a %?)

It is slightly embarrassing when I think how much money/time/energy I've spent on weird diets, herbal tea, supplements, not to mention the small library of infertility books that I own. I don't own a fertility bracelet, but I could be tempted.
pinkteapot your summary matches how I feel completely. I think I will try IVF once and see how it goes, we can then make an informed decision about future steps, if we need to. I'm still worried people may die while I'm on hormone treatment though.
shrimpy hi, hope things move quickly for you.
I'm still trying to decide what should be on our pin badge, all ideas welcome!

Why do I do it, watching One Born really is a stupid thing to do :( Tomorrow I will be in a better frame of mind, I'm not always on a downer, honest!

I refuse to watch it. I watched it once and iirc it was a really young girl with an older guy who didn't accompany her when she went in to be induced because he needed to pick up his methadone. They lived in a really grim bedsit but she was from a middle class background and you could tell it was teenage rebellion that had led her there. I nearly threw stuff at the tv.

Eek. That's a bit scary but probably what I look like when I'm PMSing.

I've had it with my medication. I work out for 1.5-2 hours most days. I eat reasonably healthily and under the calorie allowance so I should lose weight right? Only I just stood on the scales and have gained back all the weight I shifted over the past 2 weeks. I'd understand if I'd gone crazy with bad stuff but I really haven't.

Want to crawl under the covers and cry. We're going on holiday in 3.5 weeks and I'm going to look like a massive whale in all the photos and nothing fits and my jeans have got a hole in them and I don't want to buy new clothes in this size!!!

Aww code, that sucks. It could just be water... My last holiday I would only let OH do upper body shots, mostly just head!

Hmm wonder if I should try those water tablet thingies. If I wasn't worried I'd be in agonising pain, I'd stop the meds instantly. Honestly, I'm going to end up being documentary fat at this rate.

  • Sorry Code, sounds like you deserve to be losing weight - very frustrating for you. You make me feel guilty - not done a proper workout for months. I make excuses that vigorous exercise may harm any potential bean - stupid really as I've never had a sniff of a bfp. Silly the things you do, or don't do, to try and "help".

Had a look at the NHS rules and looks like I might get 1 or 2 IVF attempts on NHS depending on how long waiting list is and how old I am by then. Got to have been trying for at least 2 yrs though so might not get it straight away. Seriously considering funding myself before then but I guess I'll wait and see what the FS says at my next appointment.
