What we really need is some No More Nails, just stick the thing on there will ya? :D There is also some fancy time lapse camera option, basically it means they don't have t move the embryos as they... what's the verb.. grow? ferment? :p

My OH says we should go all in but part of me just thinks some of it might be a con. Today I went for yet another blood tests (for Rubella status as apparently me having a new MMR 2 years ago is not good enough!) and while I was out I bought my OH some nice loose baggy M&S boxers. I do hope he sees the funny side and embraces it, he's been pretty zen about his lowish sperm count news, I know some men can take it badly.

I like the word 'percolate' :D

ETA: in regard to embryo growth of course, I wasn't just being a bit random... :p

Embryoscope rates are pretty good (the fancy camera thing). There's less disruption to their environment as they don't need to be moved etc. to check on them. It also gives the embryologists a better idea of which ones to choose as they can view their whole development history rather than just a couple of snapshots in time.

Also - you may be able to get a DVD of them developing which is pretty cool. I really liked the idea of having a little film of them before they even got transferred back. Obviously this only applies if it works but as it is definitely going to work for all of you guys it's something to consider..... you could show future bfs/gfs and be the ultimate embarassing parents :)

Feeling a bit rubbish again today and famished so it's not going to be a pretty one MFP-wise!

I think I might stop looking at it Pink, it seems like its hard enough without worrying about calories. That said, healthy things in might make you feel better than junk :) (chocolate is healthy...)

I still track because actually, most days when I feel like I've stuffed myself silly, I've not actually gone over my maintenance cals by much anyway. It might just all be a psychological thing - I'm a total control freak and the whole IVF process is so far out of my control that there is a chance I'm becoming a bit food-obsessed as I can control it.

I'm piling down the fruit and veg so being healthy too. :) But on the DR days I'm totally craving biscuits, cake, chocolate, etc etc. I'm having what I fancy, don't worry - mood swings are hard enough to deal with without trying to resist the munchies I've decided. :D

And you never know, people say that cravings are your bodies way of telling you what it needs. Mine obviously need LOADS of cake. *nod nod nod*
