I don't mind at all, thank you for thinking of me. Much the same as ever really. Think 'vaguely polite but distant' probably sums it up. We actually went out together on sat evening - was a good night but we were in a big group and I'd be amazed if OH actually spent 5 mins with me. Have tried to persuade him to go on holiday but he's still refusing... and still no chance of ever BD'ing!

But hey... at least the cat loves me! :rotfl:

Tea, mine has pretty much moved to the man cave and gone back to his first love, Football Manager. We communicate by yelling up and down the stairs mainly things like "Dinner!".

We're supposed to be going on holiday in September, assuming my passport ever arrives, and I can't bear the thought of photos of me as I am now so trying to be good to minimise the "oh my god, I look like the honey monster" moments. Using MFP, I've burned off over 600 exercise calories today and have had fruit for breakfast and salad for lunch so still in a calorie debit and I still have to walk 2 miles after work.:j

Add me if you want encouragement :) pickle2323.

Got my IVF appt today and couldn't sleep. I feel really anxious now its here... Does it make sense that if I thought I was one day going to have IVF then I'd one day have a baby.. but now its here I know I'm back to playing with dice...
Anyone got any suggestions as to what I should ask? I want to know about the timetable and what I should eat/exercise and if I should quit the booze...

FWIW I would definitely quit the booze before you even start. But I appreciate others may not see it that way!

I did a few months ago for 5 week as I thought IVF was coming up and wanted to be super healthy , but then it got delayed and I thought "blow it" and now have a bottle on Fridays and Saturdays. I think I'll quit again once I start next cycle if its a "GO" cycle. My gynaecologist was a big fan of "have a drink it will relax you" though!

At the start of our cycle we had to fill in a questionnaire of current alcohol consumption. I had already started cutting back so I was at 12 units a week. DH put 11 units a week (a big lie!)

The nurse said the he had to drop to 5 units or less a week and I could stay at 12 units until I started injecting, at which point I would need to drop to 5 units and once I started stimming nothing.

We had the odd blip, especially DH, but for a relatively short period of time it was doable.

See what they say, your clinic may be total abstinence advocates.

    Good luck!!!!

Our clinic says occasional small amounts of alcohol are find during DR but to stop during stimming as it's important to stay hydrated.

In six days of DR so far I've had two small (125ml) glasses of wine. I only drink two or three of this size a week anyway, often less than that.

Our clinic says everything in moderation - so small amounts of caffeine and alcohol are fine. :)
  • Our clinic says the same as pink's - everything in moderation, not too much and not too little :)

Good luck at your appointment today pickle! xx

I don't have caffeine, does that mean I can double up on wine? ;)

For me I think it would be easier to just stop altogether once I start DR, one glass might end up as several!

DR is just starting to make me feel a bit tired and groggy, so right now wine is the last thing I fancy anyway! :)
