I'm still in shock. Just been to walk in centre as I've got thrush and the pharmacy wouldn't sell me anything and gp didn't have any appt so sent me to the walk in centre. They did a pg test which was positive with evening pee.

Wow PM - it's always darkest before the dawn, eh!

The sneaky BFPs almost always seem to come when they're least expected on here don't they?!

    Many congratulations - a Valentine's baby..!

Gelly - sorry about your m/c's.

Hhave you asked the GP if you can be referred after 2, or are you just assuming it needs to be after 3?

I ask this because I asked the GP to be referred after my 3rd m/c in Feb and she said they would have referred after 2. So it doesn't hurt to ask if you haven't already.

In the end, I was referred to the specialist after 3, but got pg again before I had an appointment - and then she wouldn't see me while I was pg.

I was convinced my problem was low progesterone, but the GP wouldn't prescribe it, she said it had to be a specialist who prescribed it - bit of a Catch 22!

So I bought some Cyclogest from a certain well-known online auction site - and it - or something - worked, I'm now 16w after 3 m/c in 6 months (and 4 and a half years fruitless TTC before then).

    Are you taking low-dose aspirin?

Hopefully you can have an early scan (6-7w) that will give an indication, and then a more definitive EDD from 12 w scan! I'm guessing it'll be around Valentine's Day (maybe a few days later) because of the date you got your BFP - my son was born the week after Valentine's after I got a BFP on 18 June (6 years ago.)

I'd get in touch with a midwife at the earliest possible opportunity and explain there is uncertainty over your dates and you'll almost certainly get an early scan.Or maybe your clinic will sort that anyway?
  • Huge congratulations PM. Really thrilled for you. Wishing you loads of luck over the next 8 - 9 months xxxxx
