Code argh sorry to hear your pain meds arn't helping :( its not wrong at all to want things to be different at all I think to some degree weve all been in some stages of denial. As always hugs to you.

Unfortunatly it doesn't look like theres anywhere different I can go, it took 5 months to get refered to the new hosp. Intresting thought about sucess rate,I have no idea tbh she just talks about the overall clinic sucess rate :/

Can't imagine it'll be very good if they continually ignore patients and refuse to take their calls.

PM, I know nothing about anything beyond initial fertility tests but...5 more iuis sound like a lot. Especially with your low response rate and your OH's sperm count, that could take a very long time. Hopefully you wont need them though.

PM, do you have to have five more iui attempts or can you bypass some and go onto something else?

Code I to am wondering about the iui's,I started injecting this cycle in April and I know each time takes roughly the same number of weeks with just one follie (got lucky with 2 this cycle though) Its going to taker well over a year to get through 5 more cycles with summer & xmas hols for fs and my very poor responce. Im hanging onto not needing another 5 goes.

Tea I'm not to sure but i *think* as im now on the iui route I have to carry on. Im worried that as im such a poor responder and we only get one fresh and 1 frozen the odds arn't great for us :(

PM, so do you have 5 more funded iui's? Fingers crossed you won't need them! Are you still in the two week wait? Sorry I've lost all track, just been trying to get my head together.

Floaty thanks for asking, we did have our ZW appointment. It was nothing like I expected - clinic near Harley street and thought it would be super slick and modern like our current clinic but seemed very homey and a bit disorganised. They did not fill me with confidence tbh. The doctor thinks I may have an immune issue (whereby my body attacks the embryo so it cant implant) but in order to find out he needs to do some blood tests costing £1800  If I do have the issue, apparently it can be treated and if I don't then we try another cycle as it was 'bad luck'.

On the up side, he did say that in his opinion day-to-day stress has very little impact and its all about the embryo quality. Hmm.. I thought I'd come away feeling really positive but I didn't at all. Then I watched 'Quads: 1 year on' or whatever it was called and that made me feel a little better as they were successful on their 4th IVF attempt.

There is also another ray of hope on the horizon in the form of drugs for DH that *might* mean we could try naturally. Our GP had written this off as an option but we went to see a private urologist and he says that there is a chance. I'll take anything!

Frozen thanks for putting me back on the list :)

Hi Everyone, this is my first post and reading back on the thread am a little confused with all the acronyms but am sure I will pick it up.

I am 38, had 2 IUI's which both failed last round of Gonal F did nothing so have now been referred for IVF but need to loose 5 kilos for it. Last round of bloods showed I had low AMH :( hence the IVF referral. My cycle is currently at 60+ days. So currently plan is to loose the 5kgs asap and get the IVF referral in and get it started.

Really hoping to find any hints and tips on making our 1 chance at IVF be THE one.

Not got kids, never been pregnant and mum had problems concieving me apparently. More bloods just done to check my thyroid levels and check re oligomenorrhea. Just waiting on the results..

Nice to meet you all :-)
