    Welcome Becks :)

I'm waiting to start and my plan of action to make this work is to give up alcohol, do more exercise, and eat more healthily and take my vitamins, which should lead to me being more relaxed and happy and getting more sleep. I'm on day 3 of my plan so far! The weekend is gonna be HARD as I really do like a drink!

I'm also gonna try some IVF meditation tapes recommended by someone on here, but I can't remember the name.

Hi becks (and the rest of you of course :))

I used the IVF Belief CD during my last IVF cycle and really enjoyed it.... very relaxing :) I did end up with a BFN but I found the whole process a lot less stressful than the first cycle. There are lots of other relaxation tracks available too - definitely worth a look as it can be a stressful time.

As picklekin says, it can a good idea to use this time to eat healthily (sounds like you're doing this already) and make sure you're taking folic acid etc. Some exercise can help you feel better too (nothing too strenuous if you're not used to it, a gentle walk can work wonders).

Drink lots of water, get plenty of sleep, build time into your schedule for things you enjoy, spend some time with your OH NOT talking about IVF..... none of these things can directly affect the outcome of course, but they can help you stay relaxed and feel that you're in control.

Best of luck with it all x.

Hi all, sorry Ive been keeping a low profile as nothing much is happening here atm.
I have been following and reading though and PM, I still have my fingers crossed for you :) Hugs to everyone else that may need them and welcome Becks, may your stay be short and successful!

AFM, still nothing. No AF, which is starting to get on my nerves now, as I just want to get on and try again. I know that your fertility is supposed to be higher after a pregnancy, whether succesful or not, so I cant help but watch the days dwindle away.... it been almost 5 weeks now, so I am about 6 days late...grrr

And my 12 week scan was supposed to be tomorrow, so I am expecting a call from the hospital to find out why I didnt go. The EPU had told me that everything would be cancelled for me, but I still had a phone call from the midwife telling me off for missing my booking in appointment.

When I called back to apologise and explain, the receptionist was so rude to me, that I couldnt help but be blunt and almost rude back. When I told her what had happened, her tone and attitude changed almost immediately!! (I almost enjoyed getting one over on her, it doesnt happen very often!!

Ahh mrsvicx, that sucks, the first I knew about my pg was when I was already probably MCing so I never had to deal with that, must really suck though. Do these people think you'd miss such a scan on purpose? Being the "cruicial" scan you think they would have learned to be more sensitive. It took me about 6 weeks before I got AF, I didn't track it, but was happy when AF showed up, then you can really put it all behind you. I hope it comes soon for you. *hugs*

Thanks Pickle, its good to know other peoples experiences, although I know that everyone is different...
Im thinking that I will leave it for 8 weeks before going to the docs about it. I dont suppose that there is anything they can do anyway, except to say "be patient...!"

code, isla, tea - yep, I completely agree about the TV storylines. It would be so much better if they portrayed it as it actually is for everyone! xx

vesper - ditto to being scared, both our lines will die out if we don't have any children. xx

becks - hello and hope you're not in here too long xx

picklekin - I'll second tea on the IVF Belief CD by Helen McPherson. I know I've got two failed ICSI's behind me but in terms of feeling less stressed and much calmer, I found it really helped.

AFM - sorry I've not been around much, no reason really, just not much to add at the mo.
Had our review appointment a few hours ago, they were all lovely and even our consultant seemed sad that it hadn't worked. The plan is to do a medicated frozen embryo transfer whenever we feel ready. All I have to do is ring up on CD1 when we want to get started, we're thinking about Sept/Oct time although it'll depend on how erractic AF decides to be! :D

Hugs to everyone on here (especially code and PM) - whether a regular poster or just a lurker xxx

    Sorry to moan.
