Lisa 5 injections?! Poor you, that seems a lot. Could you use Arnica cream for the bruising (that's if you get them, maybe your injection technique will be fabulous!)?
I've heard that the endo scratch is quite a quick procedure, like a smear test, so good luck with that when the time comesxx

Hi Fairy dust.
Yep 5, only on a couple of days. It because I have clexane and injectable progesterone along with all my other stuff. If someone else does them (and as some have to go in my bottom then they will have to) bruises aren't usually too bad but the ones I do end up terrible.
I had a scratch on my last cycle, it was all going well as you say like a smear, til the doctor said, hmmm this bit of your cervix is just getting in the way, let me just clip it back!!!!! Even my OH heard the metallic snap as it was clipped in what felt like metal jaws!!! Eeeeep. That's not standard however and I'm hoping to avoid it this time! Apparently it was caused by scarring from the removal of some precancerous cells though so I'm assuming is time may well be the Same sadly.2 angels in heaven :A0 -
Hi there chocgirl
Now your name has made me hungry!0 -
Omg Lisa reading that bit about the metal clamp just made my stomach churn! Hopefully it is a lot better this time around.
At least you have someone else that can do them, I don't think I'd like the thought of someone else doing mine although injecting into my bum might prove a bit difficultxx

Ow!! Lisa that sounds horrible, am wincing!0

It wasn't fun! OH said it was over in about a minute but it felt longer.
Although saying all that, it was clearly bearable and as soon as it was taken off the pain stopped so it could be worse I guess. I don't want to put anyone off who might need to have it in future and again i'll say that it wasn't standard for the procedure.
The bum injections are rather interesting, its the progesterone (no pessaries yeh!!) and has to go into a certain 'QUADRANT' on your bottom, you have to move the injection site each day though as it does leave bruised bumps and makes sitting interesting! But as much as I complain, it will be worth every second of pain, misery, money and agony to reach the end goal!!
Off to go and rod the main sewer drain in the bog that is our back garden. Unless anyone else wants to do it?! No takers?! Pah ;-)2 angels in heaven :A0 -
Just back from EC, bit groggy so heading to bed with a hot water bottle.
From 11 follicles on Fri, they only got 5 good eggs. I know I shouldn't be upset but I do feel a bit sad. :-(
On the plus side, DH's sperm has gone from 1.2million (in 2012) to 9million (Apr 2013) to 21million today!
Thanks everyone for your best wishes and egg dances, I'll try and check back in later. Hugs to everyone xxx0 -
FP, 5 is great! As we all know.... it only takes one
What on earth have you/your OH done to get such great results?? I need your secrets!

5 is OK - could have been worse, it's quite normal to have a high attrition rate. Wishing your eggs every success! Amazing improvement in the sperm count - what has he being doing?0 -
Oh Lisa - I have been known to squawk out loud during a routine smear, I can't imagine someone clamping a part of me up there with a metal thing without sliding off the bed and running out the room!
I'd probably need a GA!
+++++++
I'm thinking ahead to next month already - have ordered some micronised DHEA from USA - might help my eggs, they need all the help I can give them. I already take low-dose aspirin, inositol, Vit D3 and pre-conception vits.
If you're more fertile after 1 m/c, I'm going to be pretty damn fertile after 3, right?! I know there will come a point when we'll have to examine the logic of continuing, but we're not there yet.
Physically, I feel fine, it's only really a late and heavy AF after all. Mentally - well, it's not great.
Would it be indulgent to ask a GP to sign me off for a week or two? I'll be seeing a GP anyway to ask about seeing a specialist. And checking my thyroid is OK - I think it was one of the blood tests I had done last month, but I can't remember.0
