Hugs Code - I wish it didn't hurt this much either.

Fairy - how did it go today? Did you see a bright flash? X

  • Just had 2 embryos transferred, 1 8 cell grade 2 and 1 7 cell grade 2. Both the consultant and embryologist said that they were of much better quality this time, so feeling more positive now. There were none to freeze this time but I'm hoping that I don't need to go through all this again.

SewIt/RG how are you getting on?
Frozen It must be trigger time tonight for you?

I saw the bright flash but while it is exciting I was hoping they would hurry up as I was dying to pee :D

I'm off for a snooze but hope everyone is doing ok and enjoy your weekend xx

Congrats Sewit - PUPO, those 2 sound great, now all you have to do is chill - that might not be the easy big!

Hope one - or even better both?!- make it through until OTD!

  • Tea thank you for your message it was wonderful.

Sewit don't feel guilty as you're definitely not betraying your embryo. How are you feeling today?

Fairy fingers crossed for you. I'm glad your transfer went well.

AFM bleeding has stopped but still have brown spotting. Looking on the forums this seems to be common so feeling better today. And DH is baking cookies yum! :D

AFM, I think I may be about to have another m/c...

I got a BFP on Weds on CD28.

My 3rd pg in 6 months! 1st ended with surgical removal of m/c in August, and second ended in a 'classic' m/c in December.

Like a fool, I dared to hope this time for a couple of days, saw a GP who assured me I would be treated as high risk, and get early scans. But I don't think it'll get that far...I've been so anxious since the first minute, trying to avoid looking down in the loo, crying at the thought of what's to come - and then today, I had the first hint of pink and fleck of red. This is usually how the m/c's start, so I'm not hopeful. Plus, although the FRER is still +ve today, the line isn't as dark as I'd like for 4+3.

I had a complete breakdown earlier on when I spotted the tinge, but I'm a bit calmer now. Just waiting for the end to come, praying that it won't.

I'll get referred to recurrent m/c specialist this time, but I have a feeling it's just my dodgy eggs, and there's nothing 'fixable'.

This sucks. Really, after 4 and a half years, 6k down the drain and 2 m/c's, potentially 3 in 7 months...couldn't it possibly be my turn soon?

Chickpea, have been following her (not in a stalker way!), such a shame how things have turned out.

Yes, I have been following the blog for what seems like ages - such a rollercoaster. I used to think how awful it'd be to have recurrent m/c's like that..and then it happened to me, so now I know.

I used to like Womb for Improvement too - and that had a happier ending, in baby terms anyway.

I don't really need to be reading that stuff these days though - I need to be thinking of other things...

  • chickpea and code - sending lots and lots of dodgy hugs and best wishes your way :grouphug: xx

Plus extra special hugs for my three fabulous cycle buddies, SewIt, RG and Fairy - I'm thinking of you all xx
Fairy - yep, you're right, trigger time is 8.15pm tonight. I have an Ovitrelle pen waiting in the fridge for later. It all seems so surreal that I only have one injection left and one sniff left!

tea - that is a beautiful message; it makes the whole [STRIKE]nightmare[/STRIKE] process much easier to cope with knowing that there's a community of lovely ladies all rooting for each other. I feel privilged to have shared everyone's ups and downs, thoughts and worries and I truly hope that everyone on here has their happy ending, one way or another. xxx

RG glad to hear the bleeding is setteling down.
  • Hi all! :D

Well, it's the same old same old in the Slinky household, apart from getting ready for my 2 baby nephews 1st birthday and coping with waves of jealousy when I see them together. And my s-i-l telling me that she and B-I-L intend to try getting pregnant as soon as they get married in March, I bet it'll be a 'honeymoon' baby.

Well my biggest problem has been lack of periods and ovulation caused by my hypothyroidism and that has changed, very much so! Now I'm embaressed to admit that I'm 41 this year and cant remember that much about periods ( I was on implant for 12 years) and I cant remember whats normal or not. Lets just say I'm on my 2nd in a month and this one is just going into its 3rd week. So basically, week 1: Period, week 2: ovulated, week 3, 4 and 5:period, its also quite heavy and has actually got heavier over the past few days, it's not pleasant lets just say. I'm changing pads every two hours or so.
So I'm definitely not going to get pregnant like this! Start ringing the FS on Monday and letting them now re-arranging my appointment for June is not acceptable  Has anyone else had this?
