    Hi Nicola,

it may be worth giving the hospital a call just to check they've received the referral. Everywhere seems to have different methods and timescales, but it can't hurt to check you're in the system. They may also be able to give you an idea of how long it might be - the wait somehow doesn't seem as bad when you know how long it is in advance, iyswim!

Hope you hear something soon (or turn out not to need it - fingers crossed!)
  • Thanks Lisa & Tea, taking your advice and staying on the sofa watching Frasier re-runs :D Maybe DH will bring some lucozade home.

Lisa sounds like you are doing an amazing job of staying strong and positive, wishing you lots of luck with your next attack! x

    Hiya blondeammunition
What you can do is call the outpatients department of the hospital as they will have your referral information with your details and possibly an appointment. TBH I would advise that at every point of this journey you stay ahead of the game and don't be scared of phoning the hospital or fertility clinics for cancellations/appointments because it is slow and they will do it at their own pace! Saying that they are brilliant from the experiences I have had. If they have no record of your referral then you can go back to your GP and ask them. At the end of the day being pushy in a poilite way will get you want you want and not leave you hanging around for months waiting till the next stages..
Good luck Nicola and hope you get everything you wish for xx

Agree with the other comments blondeammunition, if you think they are taking a while, keep giving them a nudge.

I can not believe the complete lack of help ours is still being, still lost results, still won't give us an answer. All they have done is confirm that my next appointment still stands, and that I will have to redo bloods and hubbys SA. But to do this we need referals, which they won't give us until they finish their investigations on how the other test results were lost. Something sounds weird to me with this.

I spoke to my GP and they have said that there is nothing they can do as its in the hands of the hospital now.
It really hit home how hard this journey is. I promised myself that I would provide my Gran with great-grandchildren as its now so unlikely that any of my generation are going to have children, now its too late. She has passed on, at a fantastic age I may add.
My FIL doesn't ever want to know me as we don't seem to be able to have kids. The only person that seems to understand is my mum.

Sorry just had a week of baby announcements again, and seem completely incapable of losing weight. I eat very healthily, regular exercise, and still haven't lost a single pound since xmas.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.

Vesper huge hugs to you, its awful how little these people care at time :( they should be trying to sort the mess out of losing your results.
