  • Sorry to hear about your moggy snapping_crocodile. I lost my beautiful little man earlier this year, we was 17, so had a great life, but it still breaks my heart thinking about him. Stay strong knowing that you've done the best you can xx

Miss I - sorry to hear about AF, enjoy the wine and chocolate zone and then back to bding soon.

Lulu - I'm defiantly in the drink till it's pink camp as well (like how that sounds!). The placenta doesn't form till after 21 days(after ovulation) so it's not an issue.
  • Please can I be updated to CD3 please, omg i had forgotton the difference between pre pill periods and withdrawal week.

But me and OH have a plan i have charted my fertile period based on an ideal cycle of 28 compared to the 43 day cycle of last month and plan to DTD every other day beween the fertile windows for cycles of 28 and 43 days....... if in doubt just BD some more :p.

I would also like to pledge i will not be POAS till 3rd Dec at the earliest. Please do hit me with a stick if i start to whine or plead to test early
  • Thank you all for your kind words and hugs, they are much appreciated. :) It is lovely to have such support on here when no one in real life (other than Hubby, obviously) knows we're trying. It's nice to share with those who understand our feelings during the month, like the frustration of the 2ww and the immense disappointment of the blasted CD1.

Sorry about AF Mrs_I :( On a selfish note it's nice to have someone in the Wine & Chocolate zone for moral support! Glad you're feeling OK about it. I was down when she showed up a day and half early for me, but ever the optimist I'm once again certain this is our month :D
Thanks, Claire. Glad I can provide someone with moral support - we can consume wine and chocolate together!! I'm a bit down, but not as upset as I was last month when I had symptom spotted like nobody's business! Hubby is like you and being the optimist that this coming month will be our month - let's hope it is for both of us. :)
26 days isn't too bad considering. I'm guessing mine will be around that too as my body is getting used to not being on the pill. I keep thinking I've forgotten to take it, then laugh and realise I've not been on it for 2 months.
Lulu, you're right, 26 days isn't bad at all - and I know there are plenty of people on this thread with far more erratic cycles than mine. Haha, I remember that feeling of "forgetting" to take it - takes a while to get out of the mindset!

keepergirl, really sorry to see your news. Take care of yourself, you know we're here if you need an ear. :)

Despite me saying last month that I wasn't going to temp or use OPK's for a few months, I am getting sorely tempted to start using OPK's... Thoughts? Do you think it's worth doing using OPK's rather than having the "have I ovulated" worries/thoughts, which cause more worry and stress?

    Mrs_I x
  • Personally having done OPKs one month and then not the next, I much prefer knowing when I have ovulated! I've gone back to using them now.

So sorry to hear your news keeper girl x

Hugs to those recently had AF reappear, it's rubbish isn't it? I wouldn't even be able to guess when my next AF is as so far none of my cycles post-pill have been the same length!! Its getting annoying now...

  • Sorry to hear your news Keepergirl. Hope you and OH are looking after each other :(

Thank you for your lovely support all. Cherrylips really sorry to hear you lost your beautiful man. It's horrible :( My beautiful boy is 14, but you would never know he was supposed to be an old man the way he runs around the place! You would never know he was I'll to look at him this morning :(

Just to top off my 'good' week (haha) it is now looking less likely that OHs contract where he is working, will be renewed. In addition to this I have been feeling ill since yesterday. Had a temperature up to 40C yesterday!! Needless to say that made me feel slightly rough!! Now got a sore throat so thinking I've got a virus. Bad times!!

Hugs for CD1s and BFNs

I am definitely in the drink till it's pink camp too, in moderation though of course. I've been on this TTC journey for so long now that I've realised you can't change your life completely as TTC is not necessarily a speedy process!! If only :rotfl:

Sorry to hear about AF Claire_A87 and Miss_I.
Totally agree with both of u regarding drinking alcohol. It would make the 2WW completely unbearable if I didn't just carry on as usual!

Snapping: so sorry to hear about your cat. Such sad news. Sounds like things are a bit pants for you at the moment but I hope thins pick up for you soon. Xx

Keepergirl: fingers crossed for you that everything's ok and little bean clings on. Hugs.

Miss_I: I like to use OPK's even though I OV just about spot on CD 14 every month. I only use them from day 12 and usually just need a couple. When I haven't used them b4 I just start doubting whether I've OV'd or not (I never get EWCM) so do now every month for peace of mind.

I'm now 8dpo and my breasts are KILLING me. This is nothing new though as I get this quite often between OV and AF. I also had some dark brown spotting yesterday but again I have had this b4 so unlikely to be implantation bleed. Feel fairly calm about it all at the moment and just waiting over the next week to see if AF arrives. I don't usually POAS as it would make me really obsessive!

Have a good day everyone :)
