Wise words, Claire! I am exactly the same - have the odd glass if I fancy. Lulu, you could always do the good old trick of "vodka and coke" - but intersperse them with plain coke. No getting trollied, no suspicions raised, but you still relax and enjoy yourself?

Count me out of the running this month, ladies, I am CD1 today; AF arrived early this morning. The most peculiar thing is that my Ovia app says I was due on Saturday, whereas Fertility Friend says AF was due on Monday! So who knows what's going on there. :huh: Feeling surprisingly alright about it, in comparison to last month; but I think that was due to the fact I'd accepted a BPF was pretty unlikely due to the big events going on around ovulation.

Fingers crossed for all you ladies! Hoping we get more BPF's on the thread soon.

Good advice, although it's very known in my group that I don't drink coke with spirits :rotfl: Lemonade is my mixer of choice, also an acceptable option

I am really looking forward to Saturday, even though the talk of weddings might bore me! Part of me wishes it wasn't too early to test so that I'd know if I had a little secret on Saturday

personally I'd drink, considering that it's your sisters engagement party (pretty special occasion to celebrate!) and also any little bean is still (although potentially burrowed/implanted) in its own wee sac and not relying on you for nutrients until the placenta grows?

You're even more like me then - lemonade and gin! It's the way forward I tell you. (I'm starting to sound like an alcoholic... I barely drink! :rotfl:)

AF certainly does suck, but as you say fingers crossed for next month. No big social events planned until after predicted ovulation, thank goodness. My cycle for this month was 26 days. Normally they fluctuate between 28-30 days, but I accept that my cycle might still be settling down after the miscarriage and surgeries earlier this year. Might be just one of those things!

Haha I'm a vodka, southern comfort or archers kind of girl! I've seen a Southern Comfort gift set in Morrisons that I really want. I always get booze for xmas, last year OH and I got a bottle of blueberry vodka (absolutely amazing btw), a bottle of SoCo and a bottle of Jameson - all from my sister!

26 days isn't too bad considering. I'm guessing mine will be around that too as my body is getting used to not being on the pill. I keep thinking I've forgotten to take it, then laugh and realise I've not been on it for 2 months :rotfl:

Sorry about AF Mrs_I On a selfish note it's nice to have someone in the Wine & Chocolate zone for moral support! Glad you're feeling OK about it. I was down when she showed up a day and half early for me, but ever the optimist I'm once again certain this is our month

So I left my OPK for longer today and there is a definite second line, but still a negative result. Will keep testing daily as it's early days yet and who knows how long the cycle will be?!

I feel better today, I think off loading on here helped. It's difficult when no one in RL knows. OH is usually good at sorting out my whimsical paranoia, but I'm trying not to bother him as he's (understandably) worried about his mum.

I was cheered up by the calendar today though - well into the 2WW. 6 days to go!
