I have no idea when I ovulated last week (going off CM it was either Wednesday or Thursday) so I'm not sure what means what. All I do know is I don't think my nipples have ever been this painful!

Try and squeeze in one last bd just in case it's a right sided ovulation pain. That's what I would do anyway! I ovulated late last month and missed it as was convinced by cm that it was the week before.

Snapping- sorry to hear about your OHs job and the cat. Let's hope for some positive news soon.

I should tell you to stop symptom spotting but that would make me a terrible hypocrite!

I BD'd last night so that should do it for this month. So shocked at how much my sex drive has increased since Friday, doesn't show any sign of going down any time soon either!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • Sorry to hear about the redundancy and your cat Snapping.

Had a good strong positive on the OPK yesterday and a faded one just now, so assuming OVing today.

Could I be updated to CD15 0DPOplease Kellykins.

Following Sperm Meets Egg plan this month, so fingers crossed! If it doesn't happen this month my Mums reflexologist has said a treatment with her could aid things in terms of relaxation and the like. Does anybody have any experience with this? Will also be using it to find ways of managing any gallbladder pain I get, which could get worse when pregnant.
  • Hope you have some better news coming your way soon snapping

Still nothing at all on the OPK for me today - am I right in thinking I should have a second line that gradually gets darker and when it is as dark as the test line then that is when I am ovulating? At the moment there is no second line at all :/

Not necessarily :) It can depend on a few factors, like what brand of OPKs you're using, and how your body produces LH. Some women have really speedy surges, where it can go from nothing to dark in a matter of hours. Some OPKs are also less sensitive than others. I know the first month I started using them I saw barely anything, then the next month using a different brand there was always a faint second line there!

I know it can be costly, but if you're worried maybe buy another brand of OPKs? I bought one batch of Sainsbury's ones last month to cross reference with a CB digital, and I really liked them. They were much easier to interpret than internet cheapies.

    When do you normally ov?

Thanks for your speedy reply :) I have no idea when I usually ov as I have just come off the pill after years and years on in and haven't really had a proper cycle on it. It has also just occurred to me that maybe I should be leaving the tests for a few minutes rather than just binning them straight after if I can't see anything, what do you think? How long do you leave yours? I didn't want a false reading by leaving them too long.

Also, when is the ideal time to BD after the LH surge positive reading?

Tricky one, because OPKs (for me) are a bit of a different ball game than HPTs in regards to interpreting them. I'd say any reliable result will come up before the 5min mark, but I always keep my OPKs to refer back to and see any progression because they don't tend to look any different once dried. Am I right in saying you're on CD11 at the moment? I ovulated much later than I thought when I came off BC (around CD19), so I wouldn't have much showing on an OPK on CD11 either.

My personal advice would be keep doing the OPKs & BD every 2-3 days to cover yourself. Once you start to see an increase in colour then definitely BD every other day. Most women ovulate 24-36 hours after the first positive result, so definitely make sure you BD when you see a positive to make sure his swimmers are waiting for your egg :)

I'm sure others on here have really good advice for you :) Oh, and just in case the same happens to you, I've never seen a blazing positive on an OPK - I've gotten close but never seen the test line exactly as dark or darker than the control. I suspect I'd get a blazing positive at night. So once it gets pretty dark just go for it!

I have never done an opk and I don't intend to for a few months, just because 1) I can't afford it and 2) I'd stress myself out

I got some on amazon and the instructions state to read the stick at 5mins but to be sure it's negative to read it at 10mins, do not read after 30mins. I only wait the 5 as I'm impatient.
For reference I had a faint line cd10 and nil on cd11. Off to do cd12s today, hoping to see something as I had some ewcm yesterday (tmi I know!).

The sperm meets egg plan says every other day until positive OPK. Then three days in a row, one day off and one for luck. The reason is that the OPK may be positive at the beg/middle/end of the surge and that's what you don't know. So the three days covers that and the extra day is in case stress etc delays ovulation a bit.

    Hope that makes sense!
  • Evening ladies!!

No news here, other than I feel as though AF might be on her way...

I am a reflexologist musogirl and can highly recommend it, for relaxation, alleviation of any conditions and of course fertility!! I just wish I could treat myself :-) I do use hand reflexology on myself, but it's really not the same.
Only use a reflexologist that comes recommended, as I'd hate you to be disappointed. I love reflexology and I think if you can see that enthusiasm in your therapist, you should receive an amazingh treatment. Unfortunately, there are far too many people that simply massage your feet (which is very nice, but not true reflexology!) and you're not getting you moneys worth!

    Hugs & babydust ladies xx
