Well it certainly explains the two months on the bounce where I just want to do it all the time! It's not like I never want it any other time but I feel like Rachel on Friends when she's pregnant:rotfl:

LisaJane I think you've done enough to have a good chance. Not sure if tummy bug would affect chances but you certainly made up for it. Hope you feel better soon!

I get what you all mean about hiding the technical stuff from OHs. Tried to explain what ewcm was a few weeks ago and he just looked at me like I'd committed a crime! :rotfl: I'll confide in my books from now on..

First AF since coming off the pill has been and gone so I can officially start waiting for ov and TTC for the first time!
I'm a little behind you on my cycle a fresh start, but as I don't know how long they are I've also started taking opk's, nothing today.


I am also unusually spotty but think it may have something to do with a new make up setting spray I bought haha

Horrible isn't it Bobley. There's the excitement of "what if I am" and the worry of "if i'm not, what's up with me"?
I've gone through every rationalisation of " why shouldn't I be?", followed with every reason, "why I should be"?! The 2ww is vile, topped off by the inevitable disappointment that so many of you have already experienced, far too many times.

Please don't think I'm being ungrateful, I know i'm one of the lucky ones to be having a seemingly regular cycle, when so many of you are facing even bigger challenges. I am super relieved you're all here to chat to, as it's times like now, we need all the support we can get.

Your struggle isn't any less valid than anyone else's I'm hardly one to talk, but try and occupy yourself and keep calm. If you still haven't got any results either way in a week, go & see your GP to figure out what's going on. We've all got our fingers crossed for you!

Nice to see a couple of others are going to try various fertility lubes! That is definitely one of the least glamorous bits, squirting an applicator up there pre bd. Will try and shield OH from that one!
At least you can do your OPKs in peace.
Hopefully the fertility gel will do the job and we will get some more bfps soon.

Hope nobody has to get too comfy on the 'stuck in limbo' steps. At least you have biscuits.
Sadly there isn't always a good reasons for cycles being messed up occasionally. This 28 day business is basically a myth.

Ginger biscuits are BOGOF in the supermarkets - they'll be going out of business if/when AF turns up!! Wonder if it's possible to overdose on ginger.... hmmm

I know what you're saying about strange cycles. I've always been regular (28-30 days) and only ever missed 2 periods in my life - the first, I was diagnosed with the ovarian cyst shortly after, the second at the beginning of this year, when they then investigated (really quickly I hasten to add!) the possibility of another one on my remaining ovary. Thankfully, the scans were clear, but I know i'm thinking "what if" I get another one. I might lose that ovary too, then i'm really stuffed.
I also know that worrying makes things worse, and gets you nowhere, but we still do it!!
