  • Evening ladies!!

No news here, other than I feel as though AF might be on her way...

I am a reflexologist musogirl and can highly recommend it, for relaxation, alleviation of any conditions and of course fertility!! I just wish I could treat myself :-) I do use hand reflexology on myself, but it's really not the same.
Only use a reflexologist that comes recommended, as I'd hate you to be disappointed. I love reflexology and I think if you can see that enthusiasm in your therapist, you should receive an amazingh treatment. Unfortunately, there are far too many people that simply massage your feet (which is very nice, but not true reflexology!) and you're not getting you moneys worth!

    Hugs & babydust ladies xx

Thanks! What a shame you can't do it on yourself properly! I'm reasonably confident with the choice of reflexologist as she has already worked with my Mum who has had a little training in it herself, so hopefully good on that front! The only thing is I couldn't get an appointment with her until the 5th as she's on holiday at the moment. AF/testing is due around the 3rd/4th. Is it still safe to have it done if I'm PG?

It depends on the therapist. Most insurers will not cover for any holistic treatment provided within the first trimester. However, not all therapists are insured, which Is why you should always find a reputable one.
You can sometimes tell if someone is pregnant when "reading the feet" at the start of the treatment and I know reflexologists that will stop at this point. However some may choose to continue, but avoid areas such as the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes etc. There is no evidence to suggest that reflexology or any other holistic therapy can be the cause of a miscarriage, but I don't think there would be many people that would choose to take the risk either.

    Hope this helps!!
Remember how far you've come, not just how far you have to go.

Thanks, that's very helpful. I didn't get a chance to ask her about it before she went away, but will make sure to as soon as I can. She does other general beauty treatments too so maybe I can have something else done instead, if I am lucky enough to catch this month!
  • Fingers crossed you have to wait at least 3 months for that or any treatment then!! x

According to Ovia my ovulating day is today but I don't feel anything at all and I don't think my cm is right either? It's so confusing, this TTC lark!

lulu - keeping my fingers crossed it's your month this month :)

Ovia is such a good app though most of the analysis is very vague! Are you using opks? It is so frustrating isn't it? And to think of all those people who get pregnant accidentally!

Aww thanks :) remember if I get pregnant I'm taking you all with me to the next thread!

We will be hanging off your coat tails if we have to!

I'm also using ovia as I didn't get on that well with fertility friend. Ovia seems much better and the interface is a big improvement.

I haven't used opks, though I will next month I think if nothing happens :)

Slowly fading, I feel the same- my apps say that my ov date was yesterday, but my temps, and cm suggest nothing has happened yet. I'm hoping that the apps are wrong due to basing the calcs on last months 26 day cycle, and my cycles are still lengthening due to coming off the pill in August.
Well I'm hoping that I've not ov'd yet, as my OH hasn't been as accommodating of my increases libido/fertile period as if have liked....I honestly got a 'not tonight dear'!!!:rotfl: on my peak day!!! How unfair is that!!! Hopefully the apps are wrong, and my ov and BD attempts coincide :)

Hope everyone else is getting on better!!!
  • CD22 today and want to cry :(

SIL is pregnant, my BFF is pregnant, and due next month. SIL's BFF also due next month on the same day. OH's cousin had a little boy Sunday, old school friend a girl today, work friend is due in January, added to the 12 babies that have arrived in family/friends/work circles since JUNE!

Babies every-bloody-where and everyone saying when will it be your turn. Very hard to keep quiet.

I felt VERY sick yesterday all day, got a pain in my left side (ovary-ish I think) and want to eat everything in sight.

Also after coming off the pill I've realised that's what has stopped a couple of things that I thought I'd just grown out of - dry flaky scalp, spots and PMT.

Take me out back now and shoot me, just put me out of my flipping misery :o

Oh and OH's mum is in hospital with kidney issues so is not himself either :(
