Quite a few people have had the defence from CISAS the say after the deadline, so I would expect it tomorrow morning.

This is slightly off topic, but below is a chat I've just had with an EE advisor showing they have absolutely no clue what's going on in regards to price increases in the future and basically giving people the ability to come out early fee free anytime they increase by RPI.

Didn't catch on to me being John Terry either lol

info: Welcome to EE. A Sales Adviser will be with you shortly.
info: You are now connected with 'Harris'
Harris: Hi there, my name is Harris. Welcome to EE, the UK's biggest and fastest network! How can I help you with your order today?
John Terry: hi I am looking online the iphone 5s 32GB you have it advertised as £54.99 per month with 5GB data but £495 upfront is this the right upfront price as it seems very high?
Harris: I am glad to know that you want to join us.
Harris: John if the monthly cost is low then the upfront cost will be high.
John Terry: the monthly price is £54.99 this isn't low
Harris: May I know how much are you looking to spend per month?
John Terry: I was looking around £55 but I am not going to pay £459 for the phone upfront. Especially as you have it advertised for £52.99 with £169.99 upfront for 4GB data are you saying the extra 1GB is £324?
Harris: Please give me a moment while I find this information for you
    John Terry: thanks
Harris: I found a deal for you on iPhone 5s 32GB Gold and the device cost is £199.99 and £47.99 per month with 4Gb data with unlimited text and minutes with free international roamings and extra 4g speed.
John Terry: that's great how much would it be with 5GB data?
Harris: £179.99 device cost and £49.99 per m onth with 5Gb data with unlimited text and minutes.
John Terry: this deal is much better than on your website, why is it not offered on there? I want to make sure I'll definitely get it and not end up with a more expensive tariff it's not a price for 6 months and then it goes up or something like that is it?
Harris: John the price do not go up however it might increase went the VAT increase and however their is no such hidden costs.
John Terry: what about inflation increases will these occur? or is the price fixed for a full 24 months?
Harris: Price is fixed for 24 months.
John Terry: Despite the fact that your website states that the contract will change in line with RPI in March each year? Are you saying if I take this deal that won't happen and you can 100% guarantee that the price will not go up
Harris: John Terry as I said the price will increase went the VAT increases .
John Terry: VAT or RPI they are two completely different things. VAT doesn't get measured each year RPI does so will it change in line with that or VAT? I need to be 100% certain before I go ahead
Harris: I am 100% sure price will be same for 24 months however if you do not believe me you can call on 07953966250 and have a confirm with them.
John Terry: So when it says this on the EE website that is wrong? Every March, your monthly plan cost will go up in line with the Retail Price Index. If you'd like to know more, take a look at point 7 in our Terms and Conditions. Other prices may also go up during your plan
Harris: John it is just an terms and conditions page however we have many customers you has iphone 5s if the price would have increase then no one might be interested in buying .
John Terry: so is it just a term that says the price will increase but it won't increase so the terms and conditions are irrelevant and customers don't need to worry about them at all and the price will only go up with VAT?
    Harris: Yes .
    John Terry: Thanks.
Harris: Is there anything else that I can help you with?
John Terry: can you email this chat to me at all so I have a record of it in case I decide to take up this offer?
Harris: John I am really sorry we do not have access to email this chat however you can save my name Harris and once you come back you can ask for Harris and I'LL be in contact with you again.
Harris: I haven't heard from you for a while. Are you still there?
John Terry: Ok that's great Harris thank you for all the information and confirming that prices only change with VAT and terms and conditions mean nothing. It's been very informative, when I decide I want a contract I can get out of anytime you increase it by RPI I'll come straight back to you :-)

I'm going to Spain in a couple of weeks. Presuming I run up say £200 in roaming charges, will they be refunded as per CISAS?

I believe so, its not your issue that they have dragged their feet in providing a pac/refund/compensation.

We write further to your recent conversation with our Executive Office regarding your recent CISAS application.

We confirm that CISAS have notified us of your acceptance of the Decision, and provided us with a due date for compliance with that Decision of 15 May 2014.

We have made the necessary arrangements for a PAC to be provided to you and a cheque was requested on 17 April 2014 which will be sent to you under separate cover. Once the PAC code has been used we will arrange for any necessary credits to be made to your account and for any refunds to be made.

We hope that the above clarifies matters for you. Should you have any queries in the meantime if you could direct those to the Dispute Resolution Legal Affairs team rather than the Executive Office we would be grateful.
had this from them, after chasing them up last night.
I guess like RC said, they want to drag their feet, which is fine given I am going to hamburg on a stag do in 4 weeks, international roaming on the house here we come...

Note they dont specify the value of the cheque, only there is one.

This is interesting. I emailed them on Tuesday and haven't had a response yet. I guess they are just working through the backlog!

Sounds good to me. I'll run up big data charges and see how it goes.
