Its probably Ebays new Report a Buyer feature that lead to you being caught. Feedback may be one-sided - but at least sellers can now report buyers.

Once a few sellers report you - it triggers a review of your account by Ebay.

You asked for help - so here's mine - stop leaving loads of negs and opening loads of cases. Reach an amicable agreement with sellers.

Also - listen to felinefeline and shop smarter.
  • I think the problem in this thread is that people read whatever they want and skip whatever they don't want PLEASE READ THIS :

    4 - I leave negative feedback when :
    - Seller never respond to messages after days and days of waiting.
    - Item never received and seller doesn't provide any proof of posting or post it ONLY after opening a case.

    - Seller sent a totally crap item described as mint or very good condition and insist his item is great even when going through case.
    - Seller ask for more money as the final winning bid was not what he was looking for ( I got this too many times ).
    - Seller just changed his mind and want to keep the item or he doesn't have time to post it until next month LOL ( happened to me 3 times and found same feedback left for the seller but unfortunately did nit read it efore bidding )
    - Sellers who repeatidly reply to any prob ( sorry mate sold as seen ) , this drive me mad

    - Seller sent a chinese fake designer item described to be genuine

I try my best to sort out the matter with the seller but when i feel we will never arrive to a solution i open a case straight away and luckily i do win 98 per cent and some times we resolve it without escalating to the customer support in this case i don't leave any feedback and respect that the seller has made an effort , otherwise i leave a negative highlighting the problem.

where is the mistake now ?

    Ok.

" Seller never respond to messages after days and days of waiting."

About what? Was it an INR?

Most people only post/ reply after a case has been opened as the automatic thing with ebay now is to open a case when you contact a seller....

If your feedback shows a lot of 'INR' or that you'd left negative feedback I'd wait til you opened a case so that ebay could keep track of YOUR account....

You mention a seller replying with 'sold as seen' - let me guess, you asked for a refund due to a mark, 50% refund and you keep the item?

Sometimes do you never think 'maybe its me that is the problem'?

  • OP, the solution is simple really. If buying from eBay causes you so many problems, buy elsewhere.
  • I've left 3 negatives in 11 years and no neutral feedbacks. I've also only ever opened two cases for items not received and one of these was last week! I also buy a lot per month :)

OP your postman must love you!

Buying 10 to over 25 items on Ebay a day? Mainly designer items and electronics?
You and your kids must be the best dressed in the street and of course if you were buying cheap items and reselling them for profit you would of course register with Inland Revenue.

Let me start by making some clear points :

    4 - I leave negative feedback when :
    - Seller never respond to messages after days and days of waiting.
Some sellers are rubbish at communication, others wait until there's a case and some maybe ignoring you because they think you're complaining about something silly. Maybe they think you'll forget about it if they don't reply.
    - Item never received and seller doesn't provide any proof of posting or post it ONLY after opening a case.
Not all sellers have proof of postage. In a case a tracking number is needed so without that the seller knows they can't win.

    - Seller sent a totally crap item described as mint or very good condition and insist his item is great even when going through case.
Crap as in bad condition or just bad quality? If quality, does the price reflect this?
    - Seller ask for more money as the final winning bid was not what he was looking for ( I got this too many times ).
Some sellers are bad for that but perhaps you should just accept you're not getting the item and move on rather than giving negative feedback. If they keep doing that they won't last long anyway as they'll have no sales and probably still a fair amount of fees to pay.
    - Seller just changed his mind and want to keep the item or he doesn't have time to post it until next month LOL ( happened to me 3 times and found same feedback left for the seller but unfortunately did nit read it efore bidding )
The last line says it all. ALWAYS read the feedback. Again, as above, why not just accept it and move on?
    - Sellers who repeatidly reply to any prob ( sorry mate sold as seen ) , this drive me mad
So it's not a reply you want to hear, it's not a cause for negative feedback. It sounds like you just neg them the second you read the reply. If it's not as described ask to send it back for a refund as they are the rules on ebay. If you open a case then ebay will tell you to do that. Once refunded you may still feel they deserve a negative but maybe as it's all sorted (more so if the seller does agree to a refund after that) you could consider neutral or just don't bother leaving feedback at all.

    - Seller sent a chinese fake designer item described to be genuine
It's fairly common for Chinese sellers to sell fake items. If you buy items like that a lot you should be able to tell in most cases from the photos and descriptions that the product is a fake and save yourself the hassle. Also be sure to check feedback as there will no doubt be negatives if they do that often.

By trying your best is that accepting what the seller suggests and working with them or demanding certain things and not being happy when the seller won't agree? Most sellers are more than happy to resolve problems so if you have that many problems you're either dealing with the wrong people or demanding too much from sellers (e.g. keep item and get full refund).

I've had 139 cases over the last year , is that considered too much for someone who buys 100's of items every month ??
    Yes.

I also found that electronics is the main area where scammers take place, as most items sell for over £100 and then they disappear or when it is not working they tell you that it was with their child or grand child who must have done something wrong to the console and they are sorry and ask you to return it at your own cost, as ebay always require a royal mail recorded delivery proof it will cost over £20 for returning, and in order to get the prepaid label from ebay i should wait until I escalate the case , oh feeling exhausted of this !!!!
Ebay say it must be tracked. No one is forcing you to send it via Royal Mail. You can get a tracking number which shows proof of delivery when sending via a courier.

any help would be much appreciated

    Thanks

Even with the high volume you're buying you still shouldn't be giving so many negatives. It suggests you're either scamming, complain about even the slightest smallest details, don't read descriptions properly, are buying off the wrong sellers, are stubborn and are not happy with any of a sellers attempts to put things right etc. It sounds as though something needs to change in the way that you buy items from ebay anyway.
