I phoned the customer support this afternoon and the guy was very helpful and appealed their decision, I explained that it is very unfair to remove all the feedback I've left, on their system it shows that 14.7 % of my total feedback is neutral or negative which depending on what he says still did not reach ebay buyer maximum negative feedback and therefore eligible for an appeal , the funny thing is that he advised me to refer to customer support by phone in the future before leaving any neutral or negative feedback EVEN after a case closed in my favor !!
Anyway I will keep an eye on my email as he promised to get back by a final decision so soon, but the most important is that this message doesn't affect my status with the ebay money back guarantee system :T
No problem. 14.7% sounds rather high even over so many transactions. What's their maximum?
I mean, anyone just buying loads and leaving negatives just for the fun of it could seemingly get away with causing a lot of problems for good sellers. Does explain why some have been mentioned on here for the BBL and yet still have active accounts though.
Anyway, I hope this will make you think harder before leaving a negative in future as it sounds like some could be avoided.0 -

Some sellers believe that they don't have to return if that's what their policy is and this is not the case. It's more a lack of knowledge than sellers trying to be difficult.
In such cases it would really depend on the item, the exact messages from the seller and so on but just because I had to return an item doesn't mean I'd leave negative. Sometimes it's best just to forget the transaction and not leave any feedback. Sometimes things don't go right, but that doesn't always mean there is a need to neg the seller.0 -
When people sell their stuff - its to get rid of them to a buyer that needs them. They do not gaurantee that a buyer can buy them, clean them up and sell them at a mass profit.
Luck for you - most buyers on Ebay are decent, honest human beings.
If they were all as bad as you - your own buyers would be doing the same to you - and abusing Ebays money back gaurantee.
Can i have your ebay ID to block you? Thanks Cutie pie x0 -

Sellers are allowed 2%. Maybe same standards for buyers would make em think twice before trashing peoples accounts.
We've all had difficult buyers out to scam us. But when that buyer is also a seller, and should know better - its leave an even sourer taste.0 -

Because you might be ruining other sellers' business, that's why. You buy 600 items per month and give around 88 neutral or negative. And that's still not high enough for eBay!!0 -
I have left 2 negatives in well over 10 years on ebay.
I wonder if you have made it to the block this buyer list that gets posted on here sometimes.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

I'm not sure about the maximum as the guy did not mention it but i guess it is around %30 because he said it must not exceed the 1/3 of the overall feedback left
I understand it is very unfair to leave bad feedbacks for fun, but it is unfair too to remove honest feedbacks that may warn others about a seller's behaviour especially when it comes to asking more than the winning bid or scamming people by taking the money and sending nothing at all !0 -

I understand your point, but i do have a lot of other commitments , all my items are shipped abroad and therefore should respect a deadline, which thanks God the majority arrived even before time, but there is also too many items that are still not sent or arrived faulty and must be returned as they are not suitable for resale , I kept a few times some items where there is defects that are easily repaired even though this is not my mistake and following the DSR i have the right to return them and get a full refund but i like to save on the headache , I appreciate your opinion and that you try your best to let everything run smoothly but I'm so thankful to those who left a negatives to other sellers on ebay because i'm sure they did not do it for fun unless they are Sick, but it's a good way of reviewing the experiences and i've stopped myself many times from buying from sellers with over 4 negs as i don't want to waste my time especially if the SAME problem happens with over 2 buyers.0 -
Goodness, that is a lot 33% when sellers get 2% leeway.littlecutiepie wrote: »I'm not sure about the maximum as the guy did not mention it but i guess it is around %30 because he said it must not exceed the 1/3 of the overall feedback left0 -
Are you serious when you say 139 cases opened in 2 years is not a lot. Ive opened about 5 in 15 years. And i spend a lot on Ebay too.
Can't decide if this is a joke or serious. 139 cases - Ebay should have pulled you after 20.
I have been a member of Ebay for 12 years and could count the cases I've opened on the one hand. :eek:Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £19,575.020
