    Ive thought of one more:
My hangers' hooks are all the same way round on the rail, and the clothes have to go on the right way on the hanger if they have a sticker or whatever on them.
Although I haven't got the patience to make sure clothes go on the right way on the hangers I do have some sort of code.

All our hangers are the same except that hubbys are blue, mine are cream and our sons are grey. They have to be colour coded.

No doubt i'll think of some more throughout the day.

Not sure what happens where you live but my local council recycle milk containers but not the tops, something to do with the type of plastic.

They specifically tell us not to throw the tops in the recycle bins.

How would you cope with that?

I'd do as they said :D Thankfully I don't have to worry about it though! It never used to be a quirk, I just realised I was doing it at work recently, and therefore it became another 'thing' I do!

There are lots of little ones like that. I could give those up if I had to (although would probably find something to replace it!)

  • I must be really chilled. I feel like I have more to worry about than loo roll, hangers and the like haha!

...on second thoughts, maybe I'm the weird one! yikes :D

I'm so going to regret posting this and your going to laugh. I cut the tops off things.

I do that with large packets of crisps. I hate having to put my hand in deep cos it'll get all greasy. Yuck. Anything I can pour (like cat biscuits) or that's not dirty (like cotton wool), I'm fine.

OMG, I'm reading that and your other posts and thinking 'you could be talking about me!' You're like my OCD sister lol! :rotfl:

    YO! SISTA!

Haha very similar. I was adopted, so who knows, maybe we share blood :D I'm also not horrendously tidy and not OCD as such, just 'strange' lol.

Drawers and wardrobes have to be completely closed at bedtime or heaven knows what will come out of them!

I shut all drawers and cupboards. Drives me mad when a drawer's not shut properly. Don't care about the 'monsters', I just find it 'unbalanced'!

Oops, just realised I missed out the 'n' in idiosyncrasies in the title (now corrected), surprised no one pulled me up on that, you all spotted it I'm sure but were way too polite to mention it, yeah I know. ;)
Embarrassing though for someone who prides himself on being grammatically correct. :o

    I've been Money Tipped!
Although I like my house to be clean and fairly tidy, I don't have ocd when it comes to cleaning. I do though have to have all the cutlery in the right compartment and the right way up, all the tins, jars etc in cupboards grouped together as to what they are (baked beans, tinned tomatoes, sauce etc) and the labels facing the front. Mugs have to have their handles to the right in the cupboard.

All my cd's and dvd's are in alphabetical order although to me that is just because it makes sense if you have a lot in order to find one without having to go through them all.

My books (and I have hundreds of them) are grouped as in travl together, biography together, fiction together etc and then in alphabet order of either the author (fiction) or subject i.e. by country for travel. My cookery books though are in size order. Fiction hardback and fiction paperback are on separate shelves.

Mmm, I like forks and spoons to be lined up snuggling in the drawer. I hate washing-up piled up in the sink - it all has to come out and be placed on the right, and go into a clean sink full of water.

BIB - This is normal! I have had a friend to stay who will pile the dishes in the sink. I will take them out.

Noooo! It's got to be over the top! :rotfl:

I had visitors a few weeks ago and after they had left I noticed one of the them had used the bathroom and changed the way I had hung my toilet roll! I have my suspicions as to which one it was.

The only thing I am truly OCD about is when I'm mucking out the horse. All the banks have to be even and straight and the bed needs to be brushed back totally straight.

My biggest thing is colour co-ordination in the wardrobe. Everything has to be grouped according to what it is and what colour it is from light to dark. I have my own wardrobes in their own order and woe betide OH if he messes it up
My match worn rugby shirts have to be displayed correctly as soon as I bring them home and I have to be able to see them when I'm sat at my laptop. My mate thinks I'm nuts and she keeps hers in bags under the bed (which I personally think is a bit crackers because you can't see them there!) likewise I have one which I wear and I have to hang it on the wardrobe door- it annoys the hell out of me if OH moves it..
If I wonder where my keys are I can't settle until I find them.
I'm sure OH would accuse me of having many other annoying little habits but they're the only ones I can think of off the top of my head ;)

Yeah:T:T someone like me, showed eldest son your post as he thinks I am as he says 'mental' :rotfl:for insisting all clothes go in colours, he sometimes moves them about and if I know they are not by colours I can't not change them back :rotfl:

    Debt-free and Proud!
I'm finding as I get older, more and more things annoy me - especially when it comes to other people.
Most of the things that annoy me have been touched upon in this thread already though so I don't think these things are 'odd' but -
I hate when people leave the lid off of things (toothpaste, shampoo, coffee jar) and with toothpaste, when they squeeze from the middle and make the tube all bent :s
When people use the bath and leave a dirt ring around it - horrible! Or when they have a shower and leave their hair in the plug or pieces stuck to the tiles!
When people make a cup of tea/coffee and don't put the milk back in the fridge
When people make a cup of tea and leave their teabag on the kitchen sink!
I really hate full cupboards/fridges/freezers - This probably comes from my mum always over stocking full of crap that nobody ever wants or needs (like those food mix packets and alphabet spaghetti) and then wanting to find something and you can't or wanting to put something away and there is no space to put it
People that clip their toenails/fingernails and just let the discarded nail fly off into the air and not pick up after themselves
When I eat pizza I need to scrape the toppings off and eat them separate from the dough.
Chat speak - I kw u wan2 de crcs innit?! Seriously...is this like 21st century morse code?! I don't get it and I don't want to strain my brain trying to work out what your saying
The grammar police - Ok, I can understand why you want to educate people who chat speak in the basic grasp of the English language....but I finished school over 10 years ago and whether I type your or you're as long as you can understand what I'm saying - does it really matter?!
People who call me 'mate' and 'pal' I don't mind any other of the endearments people use...babe, hun, darlin...all fine, but these two set my teeth on edge 0.o
People who eat with their mouth open or chew like goats - I often have fantasies of stabbing you in the eye with a fork while you eat!!!
People who bring smelly takeaway food onto enclosed spaces like the bus or the underground!!!

Well this turned into a bit of a rant so...heh :o
