Kenwood Chef - which to buy?

thanks piglet.
Premier it is then- as I answered "No" to all your questions!
Argos didnt mention the liquidizer and I doubt it will come down in price again before Christmas.
I think ill either buy from amazon or site you recommened.
And ill look into getting some attachments in the future as most recommend them as very useful.0 -
Just watch Argos if you aren't in a rush as the voucher offer should be on again at least once before Christmas. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

Errr can I recommend not looking at all the attachments and then deciding that you really HAVE to have all of them...
The hand finished model looks lovely and it comes with a stainless steel liquidiser http://www.electricshopping.com/kenwood-stainless-steel-liquidiser.html I really want one of these!Piglet

I would have LOVED a Kitchen Aid (still would - but a pretty coloured one!). They do a nice range of attachments and because their drive mechanism is different to Kenwood they tend to be quieter. Plus I seem to remember that their aftersales service is very good. (Can you see how much I wanted one
)
However, IIRC, there is an entry level model that isn't the ordinary Artisan model, it comes in white only and is popular in the US. I found quite a lot of reviews that seemed to indicate that people felt that it was underpowered and that making bread was problematic.
In the end I felt that as I couldn't afford the normal Artisan model then I would stick with the Kenwood Chef.
Not sure if that helps at all but that was my train of thought when I was looking.Piglet

thanks Piglet,
Im kind of highjacking this "Kenwood" thread with talk of Kitchen Aid! sorry
I have untill tonight to pay, so Ive been reading the reviews on amazon - all positive.
I never thought id be lucky on amazon deals- now decisions! I know im lucky to get it at 150.00, if it had been even more drastically cheaper id buy it no question!
btw its a white classic.
However with a 50.00 difference with kenwood premier- its a tough one.0 -
Have you priced the attachments? I seem to remember that there was a difference in the pricing but I can't remember which way around.
You need to be a bit careful with the reviews, it's often difficult to tell which model people are reviewing.
Good luck whatever you go for!Piglet
