Co-op £100 switch incentive is back

Just to back up other posters that have rang up for the switch:
Got the card today (waiting for pin still).
Call took around 20 mins (this included me registering for the online banking).
They went through the terms as shown on website and made it clear several times that the old account would be closed, no questions as to why I'm moving to co-op.
They didn't ask about the funding source just said that I would need to fund £800 within 31 days of the switch.
I also had to give my 16 digit debit card number.
Switch date is tomorrow so hopefully it will all go smoothly!0 -
paperwork arrived and 20 mins on the phone to get it opened and the switch started. They wanted my debit card number which I dont have. No problem though.
worth checking the T&Cs, the fee free £200 overdraft is not quite fee free, you still pay interest. Not my definition of fee free.0 -
yep, no problem. Got my two NW a/c's mixed up (the other is going to the Halifax/£100
(though I am sure I read in T&C ??? "not eligible if you are a BofS customer"
Did I ? can't find it now0 -
there it is (bottom).
SO I had 3 x BofS Vantage a/cs recently. No £100 for me then ?
Terms and conditions – £100 to switch using the Current Account Switch Service
To qualify for the £100 switching offer (“the offer”) you must use the Halifax ‘Current Account Switch Service’ and meet the following conditions:
• Use the Halifax ‘Current Account Switch Service’, to switch into a new or existing Halifax Current Account, Reward Current Account or Ultimate Reward Current Account (“your account”).
• Use the Halifax ‘Current Account Switch Service’ to transfer all your credits, debits and close your active bank account that you hold with another bank.
• If your account has an overdraft, we will waive the daily fees payable on a planned overdraft for 6 months on the day you start your switch. This also applies if an overdraft is applied to your account on the day you start your switch. This relates to this switching offer only.
• You are not eligible if you have received the offer at any point since January 2012.
• Bank of Scotland bank account customers are not eligible for the offer.0 -
This is the Coop, not the Halifax switching thread, castle96.
Just popped in to say I still have not got my PIN for the card received last Friday, so I re-requested it. Automated call, wasn't able to find an option that connects me to a person, so here's hoping. Or should I say thank goodness I didn't have to talk to a person....still hoping though0 -
I didn't realise the new switching method requires a debit card number. I cut up the debit cards for accounts that I don't use so now I have to wait for my old bank to send me a replacement card. If it's late, I'll miss the 14 day window to switch and I'll have to switch a different account I guess.

Coop expect you to switch your "main" current account. It's a fair expectation then that you do have a debit card for that account. Though I must say, I was quite surprised that they wanted the card number.
In other news ......my switch has now started - there is a big notice against my Nationwide account saying "This account is being switched out". Nice work, Nationwide.0 -
Oh it's not the Co-op's fault, I just didn't know that was a requirement of the new switching system. Bit annoying. Guess I won't be cutting up unused cards in the future.Coop expect you to switch your "main" current account. It's a fair expectation then that you do have a debit card for that account. Nationwide's refusal to tell me my card number was crap though. Can't do anything with that (without having the CVC) and I'd passed all security checks, so I don't know why they won't allow it.0 -
I received an acceptance email on the day I applied for the co-op account about 3 days ago, then today I received a debit card but no welcome pack yet with instructions on the switching process.
Do I just wait till the Welcome Pack arrives?
Anyone else had the debit card arrive before the Welcome Pack?
