Please note that co-op switching terms for incentive have changed. Switching SOs no longer qualifies. See point 7.2.

Cwap, will this affect me now? I received my 'welcome' letter today it has my account number on.

I just set up 2 SOs yesterday on my M&S account too. What's the easiest way to set up DDs, can you set them up with yourself or PayPal?

It definitely will as you haven't initiated switching yet.

  • I am in the process of doing this to bag the £100 and saw the T&Cs and they were different to the web advert that said 2 DDs or SOs. This was about 2 weeks ago as I set up a PayPal DD and one to pay a bill I usually pay by cheque. When I saw they were set up I applied for the Coop.

Having read the T&Cs about two DDs I set up 2 DDs on my M&S account I will be switching. Got my Coop welcome letter this morning. I have also set up 2 SOs on my switching account to be on the safe side.

To set up a DD with Paypal, do I go with the 'add a card' option in Paypal, then add my M&S card?
I tried searching Paypal for a how to, but couldn't find anything.

I have already switched end of September and have 2 SO's. Will I have to set up 2 direct debits or will they honour the incentive as it was SO or DD when I switched? Thanks

Setting DDs after switching can't change anything. My switchover was on the 29th, and "Switching your account..." letter from the 15th clearly said "two DDs or SOs". How can they not honour this?
  • Having done Halifax £100, First Direct £225 and now coop £100 are there any more incentives left?

I see quidco do an incentive to switch to Nationwide and also Santander.

M&S £100 gift card for switching. Is your £225 from FD the £100, £25 from moneysupermarket then another £100 by leaving FD after 6 months?

Yeah I got £125 for joining FD through money supermarket and £100 for leaving due to dissatisfaction. I don't think I can return to FD to get the incentive again and I think I can't yet switch to Halifax as I was a customer after January. I thought it was every six months.

I have the £100 m&s card and it is M&S I am switching from to coop.

I might go from coop to nationwide to bag the £35 quidco then to Santander for the £35 quidco and bung 20k in to get their interest.
