I found an ebay site that sells returns on pet items (possibly zooplus but i can't be certain) they state the fault and if it's something that you can fix yourself or are not fussed over it can be a bargain :)
I bought a large guinea pig cage that retails at £80 plus postage, i got it for £33 inc postage! bit of glue and good as new now.
It's zoopetcare if you want a look and obviously they change their stock all the time so if you see what you want keep an eye on the bidding, I almost forgot but bidded on mine with 2mins to go, phew!:o
:hello: Hiya, I'm single mom, avid moneysaver and freecycler, sometimes  but definatly :D

i recommended ChemistDirect for james wellbeloved cat food on here a while ago, looking at this thread, think i'll be giving them a wide berth from now on :(. how a company can change in a short space of time, you can't take past service for granted & have to do your homework on everything these days!

    off to search elsewhere now...
  • I wanted to mention the fact that the medication I required for my dog - Metacam- for arthritis and given by the vet on my last visit - is £20 cheaper on Petmeds than what the vet wants to charge me but guess what .....the greedy vet's wants to charge £10 to give me a perscription. Surely this is wrong?
  • My favorite pets store is specialpetsstore com. Almost everything for my dogs, fast shipping and decent prices.
  • Hi folks, just bought 2 great waterproof dog beds for just £15.29 each for the medium size, 40 x 25 inch from ukpetbeds. Very pleased with the service and quality and they seem ideal for my 2 mud mad springers! Have been looking for ages and these seem to be the best value I could find. Also wanted to mention naughtypawz which have a great selection of very reasonable toys (small kong style at only 89p each). I do love a bargain!! :DBoth are .co.uk - sorry can't post links.
  • Hi,
I've found PetPlanet the cheapest for cat food but only if you buy in bulk (i.e. 10kg bags) which are £33 for my particular brand, but they do free delivery on orders over £29!!I do however accept that they are a similar price for other things as any other online supplier.

Also - Just seen some bad press on here about Zoo Plus - however I bought a large cat toy recently and it was delivered before they had even taken the money from my bank - Very Impressed with their service!! Paws Up for them ;-)

as supermarket food contains alot of additives so dry food online works out cheaper both in the short & long run..... as long as u measure the food you feed them! Cats are healthier/livelier on better quality dry food & they don't need dental work or meds

Not always, dry food has caused our male cat to have urinal problams and Vet has told us to stop using dried (was on Hills)

Any reasonably priced Wet foods that have a decent nutritional value that people can suggest?
  • lol been telling everyone but there is only really two brands that have the decent meat content cats need to survive.
Almo Nature - try the lobster! & Applaws

  • i've used zooplus where there is a large range of pet products, but for food I find www.shop.burnspet.com Burns Pet Nutrition with free dielivery and excellent customer service is really good. The Moist food is high in meat content, I belive around 90% - so it's good stuff. I also find their free advice line really useful.
