thedoghouse wrote: »hi there, i was wondering if anyone knows where i can purchase hi-life dental chews (or similar) for my dogs cheaply & in large quantities? i can only seem to find 12-14 chew jars priced at £3-4, & feeding my 2 dogs one each per day is working out pretty expensive. happy to consider other makes of chew, although i find that the bakers & pedigree ones get demolished by my pair in 5 seconds flat with next to no chewing involved! (the hi-life ones are the only ones i've found so far that last a good 20 minutes.)
Would they be alright with Raw Bones? I get mine from the butcher for free for a carrier bag full of them. My sister pays £1 where she lives for a carrier bag full of them. They will last longer, be more nutricous(sp?) and either not cost anything, or quite cheap. As long as theyre raw, dogs are quite fine with them, never cook them though. I normally bag each bone up seperatley and freeze them, then I can just get out however many I need.I know my spelling is shocking  It is alot better than it used to be though :rotfl:0 -
I've really taken to CatSan smart packs, litter liners and litter combined - bought them on a whim from my usual place (Pet Planet) and couldn't believe the difference the liners make. But when I went to reorder there was a two week wait (often a problem with PP) so went in search of them elsewhere, and stumbled across K9 Capers (Google it).
They were cheaper there, too, despite the misleading name! Spent over £30, which qualified for free delivery. I chose to add on £2 for next day delivery, and it duly arrived the next day and I must have ordered around 3ish. Sadly isn't superbly priced so I will still use others, but for those smart packs it's perfect - got a few toys as well, which went down very well. Hidden gem0 -
Has anyone mentioned Animal Medication Direct yet?
I use them. Small reliable company, good service and happy with the price. Unlike some sites they charge postage by the order weight - so can be cheaper for lots of small light items like wormers and frontline (which is what I buy!)0 -
Just thought I'd put in my twopence worth!
Zooplus - had a terrible time with first order and would never use again. Item was missing, they wouldn't replace, would only refund - meaning I would have to pay delivery charge again and lose first order discount if reordered!
Pet-supermarket - good service generally but beware if you need to return anything heavy - they want to charge you £10 for the pleasure!
Petplanet - great, use a lot!
For anyone in the Worcester/Malvern are www.petfoodpronto.co.uk are really good - usually next day delivery and take payment when delivered (cash or card). V cheap too.
Also, for anyone using Arden Grange in particular www.netpetshop.co.uk are very cheap and do free delivery on these
I've just been pricing up a wormer/flea order and petdrugsonline have come out best
For prescription drugs I have found viovet to be really good - they accept (or did last time I used them!) faxed prescription as opposed to just posted ones so saved a couple of days on delivery, and they're cheap.0 -

Have you tried VetUk? I price check them, Zooplus, Petplanet, etc. every month and they are always cheapest. Can't put them through Quidco though. Shame you had a bad experience with Zooplus, I use them a lot [3 years] and absolutely no complaints.0 -

Yes, I priced up:
petplanet
viovet
petmeds
vet-medic
petfleas
nutrecare
petdrugsonline
vetuk
bestpetpharmacy
Plus a few others who were way off the mark with their pricing! (as were petplanet for this stuff)0 -
Just saw post about netpetshop.co.uk frankly I would avoid like the plague!! Placed my first (and only!!) order on 23/04/09 and has been a comedy of errors since!!!! Firstly they sent me after about a week and a half of placing order an email saying one of the items was to be refunded. Got refund very quickly. That left 2 items. A week later got 1 item, delivery note said other item to follow. After another fortnight I got the item they had refunded me for.......................................... The other item which was to follow was now not available!!!
They did refund me half the delivery charge as well but their reliability is kinda questionable!!The victims we know so well
They shine in your eyes
When they kiss and tell
Strange places we never see
But you're always there

Hi all!
Can anyone tell me if they have used this website? I want to buy some frontline for my puppy and they seem to be the cheapest.......
http://www.vetmedicinesupermarket.co.uk
I can see it has been recommended twice on this thread but both times are by the same person and they have only ever made two posts on MSE if you know what I mean - so I'm guessing they may have an interest in the company??
As a first time puppy owner.....I'm probably being a bit over the top lol!! But I just want to be sure that it is the genuine product etc. and also that the site is genuine I'm not getting ripped off etc. too!
Thanks0 -
I haven't used http://www.vetmedicinesupermarket.co.uk
but I have used http://www.hyperdrug.co.uk/Frontline-Spot-On-for-Medium-Dogs-(10-20kg)/productinfo/FRONTMD once so far with no problem and they look like they might be a hair cheaper, at least for the product I linked to.0 -
Hi i use nutrecare never had any problems with them, they run a cheap proffesional service.0
