The best way to economise on pet food is to buy the best you can then make sure you feed your pets the right amount and no more, and don't buy treats, just give them SMALL bits of fish or other meat only occasionally if you do want to satisfy the pet owners craving for giving the animals treats.0

I wholeheartedly agree - as feeding good quality food saves on vets bills too (in the long run) :beer:0 -

I ordered a load of goodies of UK Pet Supplies on Sunday and it arrived Tuesday via Parcel Force!
No problems - straight forward transaction. Wide vareity of products, cheap prices and in my opinion, cheap delivery.Hi, I've already asked and been granted for permission via PM for a Help for Heroes link. Pfft.
As my previous signature said, I support Help for Heroes0 -
hi there, i was wondering if anyone knows where i can purchase hi-life dental chews (or similar) for my dogs cheaply & in large quantities? i can only seem to find 12-14 chew jars priced at £3-4, & feeding my 2 dogs one each per day is working out pretty expensive. happy to consider other makes of chew, although i find that the bakers & pedigree ones get demolished by my pair in 5 seconds flat with next to no chewing involved! (the hi-life ones are the only ones i've found so far that last a good 20 minutes.)0

Does anyone know where I might be able to source desmotabs (desmopressin) for my Aunt's minature poodles? She is currently getting them from the chemist and pays £58 for 30 tabs - I feel sure that there must be an alternative supplier out there as the cost is just crippling. I've tried all the sites on the list at the top of the thread but have had no luck so far.
Thanks!0 -
Looks like it's a human drug rather than a pet specific one. According to this site the RRP is £53 for 30 tabs, they have it for £44 (with free delivery on orders over £40). http://www.assetchemist.co.uk/Product_Details.php?product_id=296698 Never used them so can't vouch for them - it was one of the few sites that came up on google as selling it.
Have you tried asking at local independant chemists whether they can order it in for her (even though they might not currently stock it) or emailing the online pet pharmacies asking if they can order it in?0 -
Anyone got a discount code for pet planet? looking to spend over £50, I have also posted on discount codes forum but felt as this was more specific might stand a better chance!Aim to win in 2013 - a holiday somewhere nice, New York break, treats for family & friends & some cash would be lovely!!!0
