Morning!
UU:
34. Soap & Glory Glad Hair Day Shampoo 250ml - WBA, leaves my hair feeling very clean and soft, but fancy a change and have others left to use first.
35. Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser 75ml - WMBA, did the job, though there are other foaming gel cleansers I prefer, Clinique being one of them. From memory this was quite pricey given the size so probably doesn't compare too favourably. Moving back to my beloved Philosophy for now - need to stabilise my skincare regime over the coming weeks!MFW 2017 #123 2018: £1,852.64/£39,200 (4.7%)0 -
You wait ages for a UU, and then three come along at once!
UU #30: Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation 30ml
UU #31; Collection Extreme Felt Tip Liner
UU #32; Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara
These are all HG daily products for me; there are high end foundations which I slightly prefer and wear on special occasions but for the price and the rate I go through foundations, this one is excellent.
I have tried SO many other liner pens and none can hold a candle to this cheapie; goes on smoothly, never dries up unlike others (I'm looking at YOU, Eyeko Skinny ) doesn't smudge, removes easily, lasts for months and months and months despite daily use, often twice a day.
And this mascara is one of the very few which doesn't clump my lashes.
I will buy all these products again in a heartbeat but for now, I have no need as I have spares stashed
ETA: Just found three more splutterers! This is shaping up to be a productive week!0 -

Can anyone recommend any other products for a dandruff scalp? This was the lush replacement for snakeskin.
Have you tried washing with conditioner rather than shampoo? I'm wondering if the SLS in most shampoos is just too harsh for your scalp and is overdrying it to the point of flaking.0 -

I thought it was just me who didn't like the Eyeko Skinny eyeliner, Lisa Eldridge uses it in her videos and loves it, I used mine twice at the most and it was completely dry and no use at all.
Have a good hen night Sundaysgirl - what are you doing?
I have two uu
Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers - 100ml, a LHJ and I am fed up of it, WNBA I don't think.
Oilatum bath oil - DD gets this on prescription and it is rather nice really.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I was SO disappointed in it -- I couldn't get two eyes out of it, I had to do one eye, leave it upside down in my brush pot for ten minutes to let more product flow to the tip, then do the other eye. And even after all that effort, the results were pretty rubbish, it wasn't black enough for me.
I still have it (I've used it to get a sharp point to my inner corner when doing an Arabic inspired look) but I think now is the time to bin it. I get cross every time I think about it, and that's no way to live :rotfl:

noelphobic - it took a while for my skin to improve, I still have milk in hot drinks and still eat yoghurt but I eat cereal everyday and that was the largest amount of milk I have and that is what I replaced with soya. If I gave up all the other bits too it would probably be even better but I can't stand soya in hot drinks.
It most be so frustrating for you. Could it be the sun/or lack of or a vitamin/mineral that you are lacking or having too much of? Do you spend a lot of time in air conditioned/centrally heated environments? Something must be aggravating it.
Can't find any link at all. It's just as likely to be bad in winter as in the summer. Had the heating on quite a lot lately and it's not too bad.
I'm waiting for the Salcura samples to arrive. Doesn't seem much point in using them when my skin is OKish (for me) though. Nearly used up my cleansing lotion and facial wash though so will have to change products and will be interesting to see if that coincides with any changes.
Salcura seem very 'chatty'! Received an email to say my samples should already be here or should be here soon, explaining how to use them and saying they will be in touch again in a few days!3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -

I appreciate it probably sounds minor to some people, but obviously your skin is one of the first things people notice about you. In winter people make jokes (without realising) about how I look like Rudolph as my nose is red and so I've lost even more confidence.Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician....0 -
I can't work out a cause for mine really either, it's just so frustrating. My skin doesn't like the sun and in winter it doesn't like the cold weather and the heating. I have considered giving up dairy for a while and am also wondering whether it may be connected to an underactive thyroid.

Yet another post I could have written! Sometimes I look in the mirror and think it doesn't look too bad but the light mustn't be great in my bathroom because I'll so somewhere else and think it looks horrendous.
I hate getting my photo taken because I am always horrified at how red my skin looks. It usually looks okish if I have foundation/concealer etc on but when it gets really dry AND spotty phases make up just cakes on it and it looks worse if anything.
Have you tried using the green sticks/lotions under foundations? I do find this helps to tone the redness down a lot and you don't end up looking like Shrek if you apply it carefully.
My Salcura products arrived this morning so going to try them on my nose and see how I get on. It's both spotty and dry at the moment and when it gets really bad it cracks and bleeds if you so much as look at it the wrong way.
If you haven't already I would definitely ask to be referred to a dermatologist.3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -
I was just wondering if anyone had spotted Kleenex face wipes anywhere? I'm not sure if they have stopped making them or not. It's really annoying because I really liked them but then they were expensive if not on offer so I can see why most wouldn't buy them

Just been catching up on the thread......
Happy Birthday Val! Hope you had a lovely day, some fab gifts there. Would love to hear how you get on with the Smashbox palette, it looks lovely.
Am very pleased with the Smashbox palette. Used it on Saturday night when we went out for our meal and followed the instructions on the leaflet then. This morning however I was running late and just applied a wash of colour my lids using one of the shimmery colours. There are no colours in it that I don't like.Clutterfree wrote: »Val, was it your daughter who had the blog? I can't find it now.
Apologies if I've confused you with someone else.
Hi Clutterfree. It is my daughter who writes a blog however she's recently changed the name of it to "California Dreaming".Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
