    Did you notice much difference between the clarins and the pixi during your test maddiemay?

    What did you think of the prism? (not that I need more polish - maybe a 2nd helmer).

    UU

    50ml Elemis apricot toner - WMBA doesnt seem to do much but doesnt irritate either. These seem to be breeding in my stash.

    I didn't notice any difference over about 10 days trialling the clarins and the pixi side by side.

    I think Prism is gorgeous, a blue/silver background with masses of pink, green and silver sparkles, it is so very cheery on a dull day and in the sunlight it is full on.

    I'm quite happy if the company is on the PETA list, there are quite strict.

    Do you really need a primer? Maybe an oil free moisturiser would work well? Just an idea.

    I found that the primer stops the liquid or mineral sitting in the lines and wrinkles, and makes me look more dewy IYKWIM:)

    just a suggestion would it be wise to keep a few of the mini sized products back for holiday season especially if you are flying and nee small products and containers to help with space when packing

    I tend to do this to save luggage space. Have a few travel sizes in my stash that are being saved as Emma has a trip to Iceland in April and then we go away in August.

    Some UU's to report and confirm VALM that I didn't buy the Elemis TSV, we can be goody two shoes together:rotfl:

    Took of China Glaze Prism and repainted with Sally Hansen Extreme Night Lights.

    Well done maddiemay. Yay us for resisting the Elemis TSV.

    I repainted my nails last night with the French Connection blue colour that I got for my birthday and it is a gorgeous metallic blue. Have found a photo of the kit I have:

    I've been looking for a perfect blue for a very long time and this seems to be it. Only problem is that this nail lacquer chips really easily. Already have big chunk missing from my left index finger nail.

    Have one item UUed on my new PP List already:-

    Origins Plantscription Eye Cream 5ml - this tube is now cut open.

    Burts Bees body lotion - can't remember the size although it could be 75ml - tube is flat and needs to be cut open

    Burts Bees food cream - same size as above - need to cut tube open as can't easily squeeze any more product out.

    Elemis Gentle Rose Exfoliator - full sized - tube cut open

    Lush Lip Scrub - only product left is clinging to the sides of the jar

    [STRIKE]Sure Deodorant roll on - feels very light[/STRIKE]

    LE mascara - keeps coming out dry so can't be much left of it.

    Aussie conditioner - packaging is now misshapen and lighter

    Mark HIll Straightening Serum - feels light though tube still intact.

    L'occitane eye roll on sachet - in a bid to get through as much eye cream as I can so I can treat myself to a tub of the Origins one.

    I don't usually put deodorant in my stash list but for some reason I have ended up with two roll ons on the go at once. This was the pink one that I UUed. I really don't mind what roll on I use as they are all just as effective. Tend to pick up whatever's on offer when I do the grocery shop.
    Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

    Meant to also add that I'm trying to use up BB creams/tinted moisturisers to eek out my Balance N Brighten. As the NPSA BB Cream has gone I have started to use a Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser in Nude that Emma donated to me which she received in a Birch Box/Glossy Box. She didn't like it as wanted more coverage but I am really impressed by it. Had to apply BnB only to my nose to cover the redness there but otherwise got really good coverage.

  • Well it appears that February is the month where I use everything up! So far this morning the following have gone:

    Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair 30ml - HG product and have a 50 ml one that I bought not too long ago to replace it.

    Lush American Cream Conditioner 250g - I flip backwards and forwards between liking this and not liking it. Initially it does great things for my hair and then it don't find it quite as effective. Have a mini Philip Kingsley conditioner to use now but after that I'll have to go out and buy some more!

    Mac Cleanse Off Oil 150ml - I love this as a makeup remover and it probably is HG but I have a few cleansing balms to try and use now. Plus it is quite expensive but it does last a good few months with daily use. On to Lush Ultrabland now.

    Ben Nye Neutral Set Powder - I didn't like this at first but it's grown on me (plus it lasted ages). One pot is about £5 so I think it makes MSE sense to buy this when I've finished my other powders. On to a half full pot of Vichy Dermablend powder now.

    Not only have I finished those 4 but there my shower gel (Lush Rose Jam 250g) and body lotion (Lush Vanilla Dee-lite 250g) are down to the last dregs so should be gone in the next couple of days as well. I'm starting to think that this budget I've set myself for the year might be a bit of an ask!
    Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £
    LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000
    Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 2017
  • 3 small UUs.
    2 perfume sample vials and a sample Aromatherapy Associates bath oil - love this stuff.
    Also a Clinique mascara which wasn't finished but I've been using for ages. Replaced with an Ellis Faas one that I got in a beauty box. Don't list make up so doesn't take my totals down.

    Sundaysgirl - that sounds like a nice hen night to me.

    And - We don't have a Savers but the prices look good.

    KT2802 - Well done on not buying any makeup, you don't need the Smashbox palette even if it is lovely, if you bought it as soon as you have it you would realise you already have similar colours.

    I have uu

    Palmolive Sensitive bar soap - WBA but still have one more bar from a 4 pack.

    Body Shop bath lilly - this seemed to unravel quicker than usual, have replaced it with another one of theirs.

    Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter - 50ml, WBA, lovely stuff.

    Dr Lipp Nipple Balm - 3ml, this lasted ages but I WNBA, this is another case of blogger hype then disappointment, although I didn't buy it as such it came in either a beauty box or the LIB advent calendar.

    Not one single in so far this month, not even a freebie. If I do as well next month the toiletry storage areas should be looking much tidier.

  • Clutterfree you've reminded me I need to start trying to use up some perfume samples! I keep getting sucked back in by my favourites! I have some really pretty ones waiting :/

    I'm having nail issues today, I just took off ciate apples and custard. Now can't decide what to put on. I've painted them 3 times then taken it off :/ maybe I've found a gap in my nail varnish collection! next to try is on ice from H&M bought purely because it has ice skating bambi on the front :D and No7 winters tale, with Revlon satin sheets top coat on the on winters tale and Avon satin top coat on on ice... may only last half hour though... lol
    Though I did try Barry M dusky mauve feels a little dark for me today but I've got to of had this 4 or 5 years yet it's still the same consistency it was the day I bought it! and yet my opi can't even last a year! I love barry m!
    I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
    even when it feels like your not....
