Any joggers/runners out there?

That was a pleasant run. The blackberries are out now. It seems to have been a bad night for pheasants though. Six of them dead in approx 100 yards.
Enjoy it while it`s still warm. Soon be long sleeves and gloves again.0 -
Hi all, Well done to you all on your running exploits, keep it up.
Personally I can't walk 50 feet unaided, but I run 5 miles every other day.0 -
morning all
Just did a 17 minute run. Struggled at the beginning and at the end.
One minute it feels great then it feels !!!!. But it's a gorgeous morning, crisp and sunny.
Suffolkb - do you live in the countryside?Life is like a box of chocolates, ya never know what yer gonna get

Almost. I can be out of the village in one min if I go north or west and then I am in the countryside. 3 mins on the main road and then I can turn off across fields or onto the smaller lanes. Main roads not fun as no pavements and no street lights so have to be careful. After that it`s no problem. Farmer Giles seems to have ploughed up a public footpath. Not sure if that`s allowed.0

How did you get on on Sunday?????? :j
LOL Karrie! You made me jump!! :rotfl:
Oh, Sunday was just fantastic. Thanks for asking hun x I wasn't really feeling like it TBH, the few days beforehand, work has been so stressful plus other stuff going on and it felt like yet another thing I had to find the time to do. But honestly, when I arrived at Hyde Park and saw thousands of women of all ages arriving to do the same thing, all shapes and sizes, it really warmed my heart. I know that sounds a bit corny, but that's honestly how I felt.
I got round I think in just under 40 mins - I do know that's not in any way a fast time:o (although in fairness there is a lot of weaving around people along the course:D). But I'm just happy to have taken part. There were lots of women running in aid of cancer research, with photos printed on the backs of their t-shirts to commemorate loved ones lost to cancer. Really moving and inspiring. I'm glad I did it and I'd recommend it to anyone.... You're doing it next year Karrie hun!;):D
So how's things with you? Did you get out this morning for a run?
Much love,

Well done you!! I haven't been for a run since Tuesday. Am feeling down about putting on weight since giving up the cigs. almost went and bought some last night BUT didn't. I went for a walk/run this morning. I am going to start a new schedule as from Monday. I have to enter a 5k then I have something to aim for.
Start a new job Monday too  and I am really nervous.Life is like a box of chocolates, ya never know what yer gonna get

Thanks hunni xxx Hey don't feel down about weight, it seems to be a fairly normal thing initially when giving up cigs - probably till yr metabolism adjusts? And well done you for not giving in... big hugs (((hun))) xxx
So what's your new schedule? Definitely recommend entering 5k - it's made a difference to me, having a focus, y'know?
And what's the new job hun? Congratulations on that! :T Understandable you feeling nervous, but sure you'll be fine - will b thinking of you come Monday.

Morning
Thanks Sazbo. New schedule starting off 5 mins walk 2 mins etc. I agree, I need a race to focus on, to get my bum in gear
The job is just office work but I've so enjoyed being at home for my ds this past two weeks that I don't want to go. I've always worked and he loves it when I am here in the morns and when he gets home but as from tomorrow that will all finish and revert back to the normal routine
Well I'll be here when he sets off on his bike but won't be home for about an hour after he gets home. Life is like a box of chocolates, ya never know what yer gonna get

Well good luck with the new schedule and the new job. I can totally understand your missing ds after being able to spend more time with him, but I guess by the time he's got home and settled down it won't be long till yr back home too.
I'm going to try and get to the gym a bit earlier tomorrow morning and do a slightly longer run. Must get an early night!
Take care,
