Hard to be exact. I looked up the times for a 5k race held last month. 213 runners. Winner 15:42, 100th place 20:51, 200th 28:57 and last 35:24.

35 mins and in last place?! Yikes!:D When I do this Hydroactive 5k, a week today, I'd be delighted to do it in 35 mins! But I do have short legs tho:)

  • Ummm... Yes, you're right. I should just give it a go. That'd be a good incentive to push myself that little bit more when I'm out running..

Hey Sazbo! Good luck for the race next Sunday. You'll have to let us know how you did.

Thanks flower, I'll be needing it! I will let you know how I get on, but I think it's safe to say that Paula Radcliffe has nothing to fear!:D

I did 2.8 miles in 21 minutes. Don't know if that's good or bad but I don't care, I am right chuffed!! :j

Wow - that sounds great! The average person takes 20 mins to walk a mile, so you're basically 3 times faster than average. (Also, I can't run for more than 2.5 mins at the moment so I'm well-impressed.)

Karrie - keep that up for another 1/4 mile and you are doing 5k in 23:30. An excellent time. Get the London marathon application in now with the aim of running in 2009. Usually don`t get in first time.

Only managed 15 mins non stop. It's so hot here I couldn't bear it. did 2 mins run 60 walk x 3 after.

I have lots of spots:mad: My face is getting covered in then especially around the hairline. It's only since i began running. could this be due to sweating so much?

  • Oh dear... Hope you get rid of the sciatica rapidly.

I have been sooo lazy so far this week. I did nothing since last Monday. No chance to go outside tonight. I must do some running in the morning.
