    Hi all

I was home early so I went and did my run in a local park. I ran the whole of my schedule on grass and boy was it hard work. :o I know it's supposed to be better for your joints but it was bloomin' hard. I think I'll keep to paths and bits of grass from now on.

    How is everyone else doing?

Sorry, not been looking in on this thread cos I was so irritated by my effing knee :( which I am hoping is finally on the mend. I don't think I have any chance of the 5k in August though. Karrie I'm planning to try running on grass to see if I can lessen the impact any, really don't want to risk doing this to myself again. Although losing a bit of weight wouldn't do any harm either :(

Hoping to try doing something again over the weekend but it will be short and gentle.

Hope it's going well for all of you still..

I did my run this morning at 5.15 :D It's was lovely. No-one around just squirrels and birds.

I am on run 3 mins and walk 2 mins. I did do 5 mins walk 2 mins the other night but I was shattered so am back to the proper schedule for now.

Still umming and ahhhing about the Hyro Active run in September

    How's everyone else doing?

I'm on the run 3 mins, walk/collapse 2 mins at the moment (Week 8)
I haven't got the hang of breathing yet - I am gasping for breath for the last minute of each 3 mins cycle.

I have booked myself a healthy holiday in Greece with cycling, yoga etc at the end of september - so I have something to get fit for.

Which Hydro Active are you looking at Liverpool/ London or Birmingham? I'm going to see Billy Connolly that night - so I don't think I'll be up to driving with knackered legs

Sorry to hear about your knee BelfastGirl - rest it before you do any long term damage

Where did you find that holiday? That's the kinda thing I would like to do.

I am looking at the Hyde Park because someone told me the Birmingham one is a bit hilly :o I live in between the two really.

    Holiday was on http://www.healthy-option.co.uk/healthy_home3.html

There are more listed on http://www.navigatorguides.com/erol.html#1X0

I was looking for cheap and active! Just yoga might not suit me - the idea of cycling, aqua aerobics, snorkelling (whilst leaving husband and child at home) was very appealing

    Hello,

My new year resolution was to get healthy and start running. Well, better late than never, after reading this thread and the DFW running thread I decided to give it a go.
I have been on my 2nd run this morning and I love the feeling of achievement it gave me. I can't wait for tuesday to go again.
    Have I gone mad?
I'm doing the 6weeks race for life training plan. I never knew I had it in me to run for 2minutes at a time!!!!!
I'd love to find a race I could register for so that I have a goal.
Karrie, the hydro active run is mid september, isn't it? That might be a tat too soon for me!! Does anyone know of a race (short one!! 5k type race) in October/ november in the Northwest? Is there a website that would list major races as well as local ones?
RosWright, I've had a look at the holiday link you put. It sounds really good. A fab holiday!

    Hello

Well done :T I am currently on run 3 mins walk 60 secs x 9. The thing I have trouble with is the heat. Therefore, I am now looking for a 5k in Oct/Nov when it's cooler.

Runners World website has a list of all races. take a look, it's a great website.

Let us know how you get on on Tuesday.
