  • I welcome the day when the Government wakes up and stops allowing cyclists free reign with impunity.

I feel if you're stupid enough to play chicken with a moving motor vehicle, you deserve what you get if you lose!

I cycle daily and have yet to have a single altercation with a motorist. Maybe it's because I actually show due consideration on the roads. Something most cyclists have no idea about whatsoever. They're all self entitled idiots who are all the more dangerous as the law sides with them 100% of the time. Weird place is England! How backwards we have become!

I have twice had trouble with the Lycra clads. Once when a "man" undertook me, as a motorist and I avoided him. The second time was as a pedestrian, and this death machine ignored the stopped traffic and almost hit me.
What I really worry about is their oatmeal diets and belief in their rights. It does not sit well with me when men behave like this when their Dads fought for Britain.

    Amen!

I love how they shout at car drivers, "It's not a race track, you know".

Yet there they are like it's the Tour De France and any obstacle, flesh or machine, is met with utter arrogance and disdain!

I am 51 and my dad was born in 1939, I think the dads fought for Britain is a cliche that has gone well past its sell buy date, do the maths. My maternal grandfather was on the Archangel & Murmansk convoys my paternal one was a home guard in the Second World War and a veteran of World War One*.
Unless you are having encounters with cyclists in their 60s, 70s and 80s in which case carry on.

After the accident he just cycles away... what about the guy whose truck is now obviously all scratched up due to his stupidity?

Usually in a road accident, it's not OK to simply walk away from the scene...

    WOW!!

Problem is if he went under the wheels the headlines would be more along the lines of 'cyclist his by bus/truck' rather than 'cyclist dies after crashing in to bus/truck'.
Whilst the drivers probably arrested and bailed pending investigation.
Bus driver potentially looses his livelihood.
Both their premiums skyrocket for next 5 years.
Along with unknown stress and fear for both.

All because a cyclist is acting a complete muppet!!

I think its because there are a lot of nut jobs who post stuff on youtube and also comment on there.

Really banal stuff on there like "just look at the way this guy was in the wrong lane"... i mean really, have people nothing better to do than record, edit and upload driving clips to youtube?
