  • Morning all - Its monday but the good news for us is that all being well my friend should be having her baby today :)

NSD today - not planning to go anywhere and now cant without getting a wet butt as I have cleaned the car seats with upholstry cleaner - taking my car out of the county at the weekend so will aim to vac it and wash it by friday. Going to sister - in - laws who lives in a town so probably best if we dont take enough mud with us to her drive to start an allotment scheme!

DH is a superstar - fence finished, aerial put up - he also was on church duty last night and did a couple of hours work that was needed for today. Poor love is hanging! Not sure what the going rate would have been to put up 24ft of fencing and mount/wire in an aerial but its cost us about £140 for both - thank goodness he is a man that can!

Right of to do some work too - hope you all have a cracking day

    Love LAGL xx

  • Well don to all those of you ding overtime, my job doesn't allow for overtime but have asked if I could have more hours added to my contract (have to keep a balance though as want to be around for my kids so try to do as many of my hours as possible during the time they are at school/pre-school).

I have started on the de-cluttering today - just taking a ten minute break now but determined all bedroom sides will be clear by the end of today. Hoping I may find some things to sell or things I had forgotten about which will reduce spending in the future (bits of jewellery/bathroom products etc).

The running club I sometimes go out with are doing hill training tonight, the kind of thing I don't ever do by myself so aiming to join them as long as my legs feel recovered enough from yesterday's run by the time 6.45pm comes around ;) Shouldn't need to venture into the shops today but will need milk tomorrow.

We have leftover pizza for tea tonight so think me and my youngest may bake a loaf of bread this afternoon and maybe some flapjacks as well (last weeks didn't seem to hang around long at all).

Right back to the bedroom and my de-cluttering - have a good day all.

  • Today might not be an SFD. The wedding dress I first fell in love with is back on sale and about 70% off, down to £118 from £395 AND available in the size I'm most likely to be after baby. That line was stopped a while back and I thought I wait till maybe june and my body being back to normal to find another one but I can't resist at that price. Don't want to loose it again. Could always have it altered slightly later. Don't have my card with me at work so might order it tonight.

Scores on the doors are the moment are above. I went to London at the weekend and had a brilliant time but kept within my already-saved-for-budget so counted the weekend as three SFDs. I even came home with over £30 :D The main costs were food and drink as we went to the Science Museum on Saturday which is free.

I need to get a menu plan done today and then get some shopping in which will knacker my SFD run, but I don't mind too much about that. I have a tonne of housework to do as well. I get paid in eight days and am currently hoping that I won't have to spend any money on petrol until then - fingers crossed!

Thank you, I did. Discovered they do paypal, so went for it :j. As it's been in and out of sales for a year and then off the market for a few months I didn't want to risk loosing it again :p. That's 82 quid under budget too. And of course I double checked on ebay etc first too.

Also got free delivery via a code I found, yay.

Hi folks sorry had a busy few days.

    Mothernerd
    - sorry to hear about your !!!!!cat. hugs

Thifty - must be sign you were meant to have that dress and permission off Kat granted made me giggle.

Went a bit off the wagon over the weekend trip to outlet village, needed walking trousers pleased with them, and a top bought. Sneaked into body shop and a spoil myself on make up, and huge shower gel bottles, smelling of mandarin now.

Back focused, new week heaps food in house after online shopping. So hopefully a few more nsd likely up to 6 so far.
Hands are freezing today in work just can't get warm brrrrrrr. Have a good day folks.

A query for all the soup experts out there: I made purple soup, decanted it into 4 tupperware pots, added 2 peeled hard-boiled eggs to one of them. On opening it up today, it has turned GREEN! Not cos it's gone off, I hasten to add. Is it some weird combination of ingredients? Onion, garlic, celeriac, leek, spring onion, purple cabbage and water! Then 2 hb eggs, whole.

Anyhow, I've eaten it all, and although it was a tad too heavy on the celeriac side, it's passable. And, I've not spilled any down me - result :j!
