Re the various comments on exersice and pregnancy. I was only doing a 3 mi bike commute, so hardly proper exersice, lol. With the first I walked 2 mi to work everyday, which seemed to keep me in better shape. But I like to keep busy and doing things like painting the kitchen is my form of nesting. With two kids at home I won't have time to do things like that (dreading the first weeks where all I'll be doing is breastfeeding 24/7 and trying to entertain a toddler). At least with the first I could clean, tidy, garden etc whenever he was asleep or even if not he'd happily watch (0-6 months, later it was trickier). How will I get anything done with too without feeling I neglect them?

Hugs to all the ill people, i have it 2!! Feel like poop! Cant sleep either.

Sfd for me yest, hadnt slept so i actually looked like a zombie myself.
Also no exercise for me :( unless you count chasing a running nose constantly??

KAT - i lived in a caravan for over a year & half, before i bought and did up my 1st house, with ex oh & dd. I loved it! I'd do it again even with 2 kiddywinks. Didnt feel like a caravan at all, felt like a bungalow :)

Seriously don't worry too much about getting stuff done, just the essentials for the first few months anyway. I would reccomend seeing if there is a sling library near you and try out a sling for baby when she comes, my DS spent his first 3 months in a sling so I could get stuff done and spend time with DD, it was an absolute godsend so might be worth looking into?

there was a girl at my gym still doing body combat classes at 37 weeks pregnant!!!! she was moaning she was bored on maternity leave so was going to the gym every morning! to be fair she looked pretty healthy as was slim but had a massive bump so presumably she knew what she was doing!

if i was pregnant i would like to carry on dong gentle stuff like swimming but no way could i (or want to) carry on with all my classes!

Wheras one of my friends who is currently 39 weeks hasn't done anything at all in her pregnancy apart from sleep(her older one is at school) and sit around. She won't even go for a walk.

Good morning Slayers! Ready for combat?

Today should be SFD number 3. Didn't get one yesterday as I bought a 10 journey card for the bus which will get me home and up to hospital till next Friday.

Still not heard from the Halifax about my switch but I'm sure the letter will come soon.

EDIT: just got the email my account was approved, so off to have a look.

I couldn't do that. Ok if I was so knackered that I have to is a different story. But I couldn't stand seeing the mess around me and the feeling of having nothing achieved. Don't get me wrong I love a lazy day too :rotfl:. Plus I couldn't let OH do it all, he doesn't do it right :p. But joking aside, I will rope him in more (after training ;)) once there are two.

Will also try and get a sling (or make one, very MSE). Friends of mine recommended them too.

  • Morning all - not a sfd - just spent £108.97 on 4 fence panels and three posts. Needless to say it was very windy in the southwest last night!! They are being delivered tomorrow so that will give something for DH to do this weekend.... Need to go and source some milk too - need a coffee after all that!!

Still no one hurt and no other damage so could have been worse - my neighbour has water pouring in her loft from somewhere :(

Love to all and keep warm and dry!!

    Lagl xx

Get well soon to poorly people. I am still full of cold, I work from home and don't get paid if I don't work so i am soldiering on with stingy, watery eyes and a pounding head.

A SFD planned for today, will be making some bread later and have asked DD to whip up a batch of her gorgeous jam buns for the cake tin when she gets home from school.

Thriftylass - my DD was 2 when DS was born and I breast fed too, by god that child could eat for england, I followed the Gina Ford contented little baby book but tweeked it to suit us and he was sleeping through the night from two weeks old. The hardest thing I had to manage was potty training DD with a newborn, she was ready for it but I struggled due to having DS permanently clamped to me.

Hi everyone. Hope everyone gets better that are ill. I booked the two strike days off, as getting into and out of central london on such days for me is sheer hell!

Monday was a sfd and exercise day, but yesterday I bought £31 worth inclusive of postage, of clothes, from everything for£5 pounds. My work wardrobe is falling apart literally and I can no longer hold it off. So I got a blazer, cardigan, two frocks and 2 jumpers. The clothes are on par with h&m so I'm happy.

Today and tomorrow will be nsd's probably.

    Good luck everyone :T

  • MORNING Slayers!!!

Well now! What a morning! How are we all! I broke my SFD. After walking to the station this morning, walking between where I had to get off and the next working tube station, sitting on said tube with people squished in beside me the excitment meant I forgot to have a little something to eat before I left the house ..:o... which means arrival at Victoria WAY ahead of schedule and the lure of a Soy Chai Latter from the Buck of Star was to much and I CAVED!!! Like a caver in a cave I caved! SORRY!!!! ..and I got a muffin... Because I then had to walk to my work place..

It only took 3 hours to get to work so why complain! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:... was listening to a BBC Documentary Archive Podcast about a woman farmer in Uganda. She was ousted by her husband after he got himself a new girlfriend and was the sole worker of her 20 acre plot of land. She had to walk 4KM everyday for water. Life is easy for me.

So I just wanted to say a very good morning, cofess my confession and now I shall read through what you have all been up too. it took 7 attempts last night on the DVLA website but I managed to submit an application to change the address on my license. Phew... that was the extent of my evening. Sorry I didn't log on and thrill you all last night... :T:T:T
