Only one drawer sorted, got distracted by the internet!
Just finished lunch will crack on at 1pm - join me for a HHC?The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Well the WM is on its 2nd load, 1st is on the maiden and I'll put them in the TD later when I'm in the kitchen cooking/washing up so it'll warm the room up
One survey done, my work laptop is up-to-date and done its daily scan so I can start working on that now. Only taken it 2 hours to do thatI've calculated my state pension age and added it to the top of a form I'm printing for the front of my finances folder so I know when I can shred stuff etc. The form I've done goes up until I'm 84 so just a bit of a forward planning :rotfl: Only because that's how long I could fit on the page
Doubt it'll actually last that long, but if the information is there as a hard copy then I can at least refer to it if I ever need to remake it. :rotfl:
Time for a working lunch now, and I'll get the other paperwork I want printing done.Everything has been online this morning it seems so I have almost nothing to show for 3 hours work
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Welcome back Mrs B and hope your recovery does not take too long.
Not started yet but as I'm now cold I'll get moving! The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Living room now looks a mess, but the cupboard is looking lovely. Laptop and drill will be returned to mum. Have had some soup. DW ran. Still doing bits of work. Tiny is cat napping, think she is finally getting a routine in the day.0

Evie has been picked up, so I've put the Dys0n round the entire bungalow, and washed the rather disgusting bathroom mats. Tidied up some stuff that had got somewhat disorganised (I just haven't been able to do housework as well as see to Evie). Also made a mincemeat tart - I've been postponing any baking while Evie was here.
Whinge alert - feel free to skip:
Absolutely cream crackered now; and rather alarmingly I have a large lump on my right wrist and an even larger one on my left wrist. The lumps are very tender, and feel sort of "spongey" iyswim - it's most weird.
Wish I could get some sort of satisfaction from the medical bods; I showed the problem to the GP some months back, she referred me to the hand clinic. I went there and explained that I need to know a) precisely what's wrong, and b) how I can put it right. They mumbled something about "maybe carpal tunnel, and/or cubital tunnel, but can't tell for sure", gave me new splints (my old ones were on the verge of disintegrating), told me to use their hot wax hand bath, come back whenever I wanted when the hand clinic is open and just help myself to the wax bath, and as I could only get there when Mr LW could bring me, consider buying one for myself (which I have duly done) - and they carefully failed to answer the questions re exactly what's wrong and how to sort it.:( No idea what to do now; my usual GP is currently on maternity leave, and in any case, if I speak to the GP again, I'll just go around the self-same loop again and still be no better off.:(
From what I've gleaned on the internet, I need to completely rest my hands; but how does one run a house with hands out of commission? And it's not just one hand, it's both.:(
Sorry to witter on about it - it's just that it's gradually getting worse, and is really dragging me down.:cool:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Lamewolf, that sounds grim. Possibly being something and vaguely giving you relief solutions isn't helpful at all. Poor you. for what it is worth, I think you're going to have to go back and insist - if it is carpal tunnel then they can do something about that, my father had the surgery just before Christmas, though I don't remember him complaining about lumps but rather aching and cramps. I don't know about the other.LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

Good afternoon flyers. I went to have a look a house last night and if all goes well we should be moving next month. I have decided to work from my own list in order to get everything sorted, as really need to get rid of a lot of clutter as well as clean.
My flying plan of action for Tuesday
Do mystery shopping that is in for today
Do paid work
HHI
Sort through a box of paperwork - shred or file
Do school & childcare runs
Do an inventory of what is in the freezer and kitchen cupboards
Attend meeting regarding the house
Update work diary and do more work on organising the next 4 weeks
Sort through Avon books and get rid of old ones
Do some chemistry course work
Do 2 loads of washing - hang up indoors
Check the airer and move to ironing pile
Put ironed clothes away
Catch up with emails and file
Sort a plan of action, as I might have only 4 weeks to do a major declutter0 -

Don't apologise, witter away. After all, much as we'd love to help you, there isn't much we can do except listen. Gentle hugs.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0
