    Morning!
Is it wrong to have soup for breakfast? I've had chorizo and bean in the SC all night and it smells so good :o

Sounds lovely. I had a great pub meal last week, it looked like butter beans on the bottom of the dish with sliced chorizo on, tomato on top (looked like tinned chopped tomato - don't mean that critically, just to give you an idea of texture) then a salmon fillet right on the top. On the menu it sounded weird - salmon fillet with chorizo, but it was absolutely lovely.

Off to gym now; must do 3 classes - have had a nasty tendency to do just 2 for a while; and as my favourites are the 1st and 3rd it means I'm sidetracked by a cappuccino in the middle.......

    morning all
wet and miserable here so wont be joining in any of the laundry tasks as its too wet to get anyithng dry apart from undies and socks in the bathroom.
got to nip shops in a bit then im in
    hope all are well
hugs good wishes and positive vibes where needed/wanted
kaz glad the dr was in reception and heard you and that you got sorted.

    Marvellous Monday Basics
Wipe the kitchen sides (just what you can see)
Clean the kitchen sink, slosh some soda crystals and hotwater down
    Hoover and mop the floor

Reception Room (Living Room/Dining Room/Conservatory) Declutter
Imagine how you would like the room to be at the end of the week.

Rehome anything which does not belong in this room to its correct place (if it doesn't have a home then this is part of your problem, you need to find it one or question if you really need it ). if there was a nodding smilie it would be inserted here. my prob is definately more stuff than space. i have vowed not to buy more wool or cross stitching stuff till ive used up what i have and because we have a small kitchen the ironing pile/basket is stored in the lounge so if its not kept under control it can take over unless hidden in one of the rooms upstairs.

    Tremendous Tuesday Basics
    S&S toilets and sinks
Hoover and mop the bathroom floor
    shine mirrors

    Reception Room Declutter
Today's aim is to deal with all the stuff that is hidden away under the sofa, in cupboards and drawers and stuffed in corners. Concentrate on one area at a time.

[STRIKE]Before looking in/under ask yourself what you think is in there and do you need it.[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Empty everything out, how much of the stuff had you remembered was there?[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Hoover or dust inside/underneath[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Don't just blindly put it all back if you didn't know it was there do you need it?[/STRIKE]

Wash any soft furnishing that need it.
[STRIKE]15 minutes reading some of the pile of magazines/newspapers etc - see if one can now be recycled, passed on.[/STRIKE]

    my list
[STRIKE]scouts tonight check all stuff ready[/STRIKE]
    clear ironing pile again
funeral to go to this week, check DH has suitable shirt etc
80th birthday party, get card and pres sorted.

  • today will be a big one, in the lounge theres the ottoman which if memory serves has books and toys in
the cupboard under the stairs is full of my crafting stash

Yet again M.S.E has disappeared off my firefox :(

I've taken DD1 to the station and forced DD2 to get up and come with me so we could nip into @sd@ for food tech stuff I'd forgotten she needed for today. We even had a cooked breakfast in there. Not good for me and my diet but great for DD2 as she rarely has breakfast.
Home now, catching up on the thread and killing time til I have my fat club then I'll be back to continue on the front room.

Oh and it looks like DD2 might have a boyfriend on the horizon :D she met this lad at youth club last night and he's taken a real liking to her :) He said she's cute and complimented her on her smile (she's very conscious of her smile due to her having quite large teeth (get's it from me :( ) They're now friends on fb and having been texting each other last night and again this morning. He's a little bit older than her but it should be ok. I have told her not to introduce him to her friend for a while as she can be a bit of a b!tch and will either say she doesn't like him to put DD2 off or will be too interested if you get what I mean :/

Today's aim is to deal with everything you can see without opening drawers/cupboards, or looking behind sofas.
Imagine how you would like the room to be at the end of the week.

Rehome anything which does not belong in this room to its correct place (if it doesn't have a home then this is part of your problem, you need to find it one or question if you really need it - small children not included).

The first 30 minutes is usually the most successful so get off to a good start and then have a break or your ability to make decisions will decrease.

So if the floor now clear? If not carry on for as long as you can.

Have a quick hoover around the middle of the room (we'll move the furniture later in the week.

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning all.

Belated birthday wishes to the fly-kids for yesterday :o

Today I'm having a house day, and I might do some shredding later which counts as paid stuff as its nearly all work related papers I don't need any more. Going to work from my own list so I can cover stuff before I loose 2 days to working. I'm really trying to work on my time management and therefore not do paid stuff after 4pm unless its a Thursday evening (my one fixed working night) or I'm answering the phone to customers ;) A big bonus is getting the chance to just sit and chill with DD once her homework is done. This means when we have lighter nights we'll have a chance to go out for walks etc like we used to do which is great exercise for both of us :D

    Tuesday:
    - Accounts (shift money, update finance file, add up Christmas/birthday spends to see how much I should have left, money aside for Kl33n3ze order)
    - Email (log into work email online and sort, personal email to sort, follow up anything needing action, do surveys etc)
    - Log into school website after finding parent log in info (add log in info to diary reference page) chase up any log-in problems asap.
    - Sort out lists to laminate (wu, chores, homework chart, time management plan for 3 week schedule)
    - Menu plan for this week (inventory fridge/freezer/cupboard)
    - WM (towels x2 - too heavy for 1 load when wet)
    - Ironing
    - Shredding?
    - Sort this years birthday card list out (Double check there's no 'special' except DD turning 13 & Nephew 1st)
    - Errand list for Friday (bank, card shop, supermarkets?)
    - HH photo sorting. (Yes, that Cane toad is back on my list )
    - Vacuum through downstairs (post shredding!)

Looks like a computer heavy day for me. Back later when I can cross some things off.
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

So I've done a mini declutter in the conservatory whilst on a conference call :o

Bagged up happyland stuff to sell.
    Folded away the foldaway kitchen.
Cleared 3 shelves in the process.
Found out we are restructuring (again), job at risk, lalala, need to read through and see where I fit in all of this! Yikes!

    Morning,
Today will be hard, late night, early morning. Doing 15 mins flylady then 15 mins work (trying to drum up business while on leave as company is struggling). Tiny hugs squeezed in around this.
My living room storage is chockablock, have started under the stairs with three piles. One to go back in, one to rehouse and one to debate if I need - anything else will be flung.
Must remember to add jobs to toots list as they come up in this declutter challenge.
  • hope the soup was good Bossy- if you went for it that is.
also hope your job is safe in the restructuring!

i have the contents of the ottoman all over the lounge! ie put 3 big boxed construction kits and a bob the builder toyset (bearing in mind my youngest is in his teens this is quite embarrassing and just shows when the ottoman was last sorted. ive put the brio wooden stuff, some playmobile and the car track as well as some retro mecano back as they may come in useful when DD2 partners kids come round.
the other side is full of books and mags -mostly DH's re exercise and training ive put the ones back he absolutely will want to keep (even if hes forgotten he has them) but 15 hardback tomes that look out of date to me and a 2 foot stack of mags are on the table for him to look through and hopefully admit he doesnt want anymore. I wont clear anywithout checking as i know i would be gutted if he thought my crossstitch and knitting mags were anly fit to bin.
ive dysoned the ottoman out before putting back what i thinks staying and have lugged it away from the wall to sweep and wipe under it and wipe down the radiator and skirting.
