hope the soup was good Bossy- if you went for it that is.
also hope your job is safe in the restructuring!

    Thank you!

Having read through the pack and looked at the new structure, my current role is there, with my skill requirements, where it should be, with my location and my working hours. I don't imagine too many people will apply, there seem to be very few part time requirements. I may be jumping the gun but I expect it will be a paper exercise. It's quite a unique set of circumstances. I'd be surprised if anyone else even wants it :rotfl:

Here's what the advert would read:

Wanted, organised self-starter who will accept all the jobs no-one else wants, get targets and objectives the same as everyone else and only get paid 2/3 what everyone else gets. Most of the work you do will be pulled at the last minute as we've moved on and need something different. On the same token, most of what we want from you will be last minute, too. We'll occasionally forget you are here, because you are part time, until there is some crap to deal with.

ETA just spoken to the boss man and he thinks the same. We'll not be complacent and still put in a bonza application, but it should be straight forward for our little team :D
<I may have talked myself out of wanting my job though ;)>

Lol Bossy. I hope you are the only applicant.
Half way through the under stairs cupboard, nothing to chuck yet but two things to ebay, one unopened shower hose and one unopen tv cable kit.
Sent out a work mailshot - now to find more info.
  • love your job description, but dont think ill be applying for it bossy.

ottoman is now back in place with the pile in sure is going in the hall ready to clear if construction kits are complete i'll Cs them if bits are missing they can go in the skip at DH work.
pile of books and mags on table ready for DH to look through its easy enough to pull table back out and put them back but i'd much sooner Cs the books and recycle the mags.
is it really bad to admit ive just noticed that i never actually got round to glossing when i did the lounge walls about 3 years ago. Radiator and cupboard door frame have bits of the previous wall colour still on them. Opps.
cupboard understairs is going to be a mammoth job so i think ill go for the side board next and get some of that done before work.

Car seat stripped to be washed before packaging to be posted... ooh I have an ebay parcel to wrap too.. I'll do that shortly.

washers both on and the TD and DW..

My house is a depressing pool of effluent.. I am not impressed and running on painkillers does not inspire me to do anything.

Well done everyone, you are very inspiring, especially when you are coping with little ones, illnesses, unexpected painting jobs.

Have just finished nasty online 'chat' with Game to get the refund outstanding since 28 December, and still haven't had the words 'sorry' or 'apology', nor an email or letter to confirm what they have refunded. Won't be using them again.

Right time to commandeer some washing together, and then trek out in the rain to PC World as promised the boys we'd get the laptop sorted. Hope the buses are on time today.

Now the challenge would be to push them all at once - saying that I see these great things the nurseries have that hold about 8 kids, I might have loads more babies just to push one lol. Not sure where the kids will fit in my 2 bed flat mind, or how I would pay nursery fees.

All the bits fit in one side of the outside cupboard nicely, they were taking up a big portion of the understairs.

Tiny is on an eating mission today - must be a 21 week growth spurt - or it will all come back up shortly.

Popping in - some may remember me ..... ?

I have not been a good Flylady for the last couple of months - my excuse is that I (according to the medical profession) did a really good job of breaking my ankle at the end of November, so I have been on two crutches and one foot since then, and I failed to work out how to do much flying between doing a balancing act on one leg and have my hands full of crutches. I have just transferred to two crutches and two feet, and despite best endeavours by in-laws and DH, I need to start doing some fluttering of my own, not least because I am fairly housebound and BD is creeping around in the background.

Anyway, I know many of you struggle with health issues all the time, whilst mine, hopefully, will just be there for a few months, so I fully intend to start looking at the lists each day now - there has to be something there each day that I can work out my own way of doing!

Pigpen sorry you're having a tough time of it - things will get better but sometimes it's really hard to see it when you're in the middle of something. Hang in there ... you've got a lot on your plate at the moment and I'm amazed how you cope with everything life seems to throw at you. Can you take yourself off for a little bit of knitting as I know you love to do that? I don't know where your pain is, so not sure if you're even able to knit. Thinking of you.

Done my run, WM and DW run but need unloading, done some paid stuff, nattered at Knit & Natter and just finishing lunch. Hang up clothes/put away dishes and more paid stuff next and then flying.
