Aaaaanndd relax.
Phew. So I've got quite a bit done this evening. Just having a cuppa then think I'll head upstairs. Quite a pile accumulating at the bottom of the stairs that needs rehoming. Then I think I'll turn in for the night. An exciting, busy day.
I think now I can collect DS cards up too, it will be a week that they've been up. We'll move them to the memory box I think.
Ah speaking of DS, can hear him cryingoff I go...

Valuable lessons have been learned:
1) daylight and warm air beats the BD into a shady kennel
...
5) and there is no place like home
EX MiL has not destroyed or relocated too much in my absence.....apart from a missing phone charger all is well.
Welcome back, Skinty. Pleased that you enjoyed better weather where you were than we've had heredelighted that your BD has slunk away with his tail between his legs :T and very relieved for you that your home has not been turned upside down in your absence
I have just sat for an hour drinking coffee, watching Call the Midwife and skimming through a new gardening magazine, whilst planning what to put in the new borders in our front garden
Just realised that there was a message on the answerphone: some chap wanting a Mr R---- (nobody of that name here) to call him back on an 0844 number about a query he had sent about furniture he's seen in this month's J@gu@r magazine - or something like that. Errrr... nooooo... We drive a Sk0d@! I shall not waste this chap's time by returning the call, but if you happen to know who it might be, please pass the message on :rotfl:
I need to spend the rest of this evening putting together a PowerPoint presentation about my errant ancestor Ebenezer to show to our old young wives' group tomorrow night. They're all coming here for a meal first, so I've been menu planning too. Does that count as flying?0 -
3 binbags, 3 underbed storage boxes (now being re-purposed in my room to hold 3bay items), 2 cardboard boxes of toys all out of DD's room. Only thing left to be put back is a massive vacuum bag of cuddly toys for in the wardrobe and a box of things which need to be put away in the top of the cupboard (aka: camping gear and some odd bits). Only took us 6 hours! She's even sorted out her books in the livingroom:j She would give Matilda a run for her money so I'm surprised, but grateful that I've been able to un-pile some of my books so I can see what I have
My room is also done (except the airing cupboard which I can't currently get to) and it took me 2 hours as I was sorting out all the stuff that got dumped in there from DD's room!
My wheelie bin is full, my recycling bin is half full and the dreaded pile of gibble is in the corner of my room again, but most of it will go when I call Age UK to come and collect itBUT that'll be after I've been through my 3bay pile to see whether its worth listing the stuff or not.
I am now shattered so going to do a HHC downstairs to tidy up, then going to have a drink and go to bed. Tomorrow I'll try to rehome all the currently homeless stuff, and see what I can fling from the airing cupboard and downstairs.I also need to remember that I'm working tomorrow evening from 6pm!
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Ironing done. Phew. Call the midwife and mr selfridge decluttered. Spent an hour swooning over henri leclair.....
Need to finish the shopping list. I hate the food shop and suffer anxiety to write my list to walk round the shop. In and out in 15 minutes normally.
I normally try to take a walk on my day off, usually for a geocache but I think I have ear infection and dont want to aggravate it. We will see.
Glad the meet was good.
Bossy dd2 keeps weeping up there. Funny little things arent they? Earlier on its because shed lost her balloon in the shape of a sword which she was cuddling in bed.0 -
Sorry it's late tonight, I've been laying the new kitchen floor with DH and it took a bit longer than we thought..
