That was a close shave Valli

Flying is still not happening. I have booked our Cornish holiday but am frustrated that I have to send the deposit by cheque. I haven't used a cheque book for ages and don't have a clue where it is!

DH has taken DS2 to buy new shoes. The pair he wants is £70. DH is not impressed and has said the most he will pay is £40. DS2 thinks that buying me a birthday present is contribution towards the shoes!

Flowers have arrived for me with no card. Who would do that? DH has joked I've got a secret boyfriend!

I must tackle the ironing I haven't ironed for 9 days and the pile is scary!

    girlies fed (OH)
WM x2.. school uniform and baby stuff.

Mumto5... good luck to OH finding boys shoes for £40 of a decent quality!! My 2 are only 8/9 and their last pairs were £55 and £60 and both were reduced! ... I'd get the name/brand of the ones he wants and make sure of the size and come home and find them cheaper online!

I have a list that is just way too long to type on here! Instead I will use paper and pen and report back on here what I succeeded in completing :)

We've been sorting out and tidying the garage. It looks better but not much has been removed. Lots is a stock of household cleaners, paints, overflow food cupboard and oodles of bats, rackets etc but I'm convinced there is loads of stuff we keep just in case we might use/need it. If we were to move house a lot of that would not come with us. trouble is it is doing no harm out there but it is still there - does not make sense?

  • Afternoon all!!

I am very very late today - and no flying done as yet. Had an early hair appointment this morning, returned library books - a week and a bit late  followed by a 30 mile return trip to close our monthly savings accts for our 30th anniversary trip this summer. On the way back we just happened to pass my favourite Home S**se and TK M stores so just had to have a little look :o. Didn't spend too much but managed to get a really good extending block paving brush thingy so I can do the job DH usually does this coming summer without crawling around on my hands and knees!

We have now decluttered Silent Witness and NCIS from last night and after catching up with Fred I intend to do an hour frog munching ribbit ribbit!

Thinking of everyone in flood warning areas - and hope you have a great day tomorrow in York.

Hope it won't be too long before you hear CY.

    xx

    Hello

We have had a most important job this afternoon!

A nap! :rotfl: We snuggled in to watch the wind in the willows at about 2, first DD began to snore, I could barely keep my eyes open - the next thing DS said its finished, and he switched it off and now it's gone 5

So the next task is to identify tea and get some drinks for us all...

On the plus side FIL has put DD blind up, and they have taken 3 big bags of toys / books / DVDs to the hospice sale for me :T

Not much in the way of flying today. The wet wall has been done in the shower and I'm really pleased with it. The men were that good at cleaning up after themselves there wasn't much to do.

    Dishes washed and benches done.

A bit wild here tonight. I can hear the bins rattling.

    Hugs,spoons and sticks where needed.

DS3 and his two friends having fun playing snooker in the garage so it was a worthwhile time tidying up. My kitchen still have loads of bits left to sort out in it though.

Football boots all clean and drying. DH can polish the school shoes this week I think.

I've totally lost my GUAG now so I'm just going to do a few bits on here and then see how I feel about ironing, if I do it today whilst the shirts are still damp (about 15 of them) it will be easier but I feel like putting it off.
