Fresh raspberries! Lovely
And isn't it nice to pop out for a cuppa in the morning sun? I don't take a cuppa with me, actually - thats been automatic, I don't like drinking wasps _pale_ but actually there aren't really any around, are there? Which is a bad thing ecologically, but handy for me and my tea drinking
And you've reminded me that there's a bag of CS stuff at my front door that I *didn't* take out at lunchtime, bother ... ah well.
Hope the journey goes well tomorrow - it sounds like it'll be nice to see them in the office, after that gap!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hi Cheery,
Sorry to hear you didn't make lots more at your carbooty - but glad it sounds like you had a nice time with your neighbourCarboots i find can be a bit hit & miss, i always like to make sure i have some bigger / interesting things to attract people to the stall so they may notice the smaller things too. I do think we've been very lucky with our carboots and i've either donated the bits left to fellow 'regular' carbooters who've helped us in the day or to the charity shop.
Well done on the decluttering :T
KC - i have a cup with a lid which i drink out of - i'm now so used to drinking cold coffee 12 hours after making it that i use this style all the time now
Urgh! weight - i have some clothes dropping off me - which is nice but not budget friendlyand i still have a ways to go to target - maybe 1.5 stone - i weigh in at the end of the week. Must admit though i've been finding it hard with eating the right stuff since we've been on our holidays - i really just need to get into the right mindset
Hope you have a fun day in the office tomorrow and have cheery work mates and cake & biscuits to see you through the dayCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Evening all :hello:
Tiredy tired here today. Got up for work, but bus driver didn't have any 10p pieces (at 7,30am!) - I just took 10p less change but it seems he was giving everyone else a credit note, which took FOREVER, and meant I missed the train  Took AGES to get to work! :rotfl: Still, at least I had a good (work related) book to read, and I managed to resist buying tea at the station (goodness knows how!) :money:
Not spent anything other than work travel (which doesn't count) and apple/yogurt (which also doesn't count)So possibly September's first NSD! :j :j Must go back and count up
About my tea... I had a little flask, with a little cup, so I just poured out a little at a time (stopped it going cold!) Must admit I'd never thought about wasps in tea  (I'm wary of them in pop though!)
And DDFW, that inbetweeny phase is a bit difficult isn't it? Things feel like they're not flattering if they don't fit properly, but you don't want to shell out for new stuff just yet! Charity shops are your friends...
Didn't get home til gone 7, and Mr Cheery has gone out in a hurry and a fluster and there's stuff everywhere (stuff that I can't really move cos it's all kind of in use).
Feeling quite worn out so I think I'm just going to make a cuppa, put my slippers on and curl up with Kojak and my sewing:rotfl:

Hope your evening was a restful one, Cheery2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Thanks KC, it was nicely restful in the end!
Starnac, I'm hesitant to confess this, but I'm still sewing our lovely Pippi's moving house present:rotfl: :rotfl: It'll be an anniversary-of-moving-house present soon!! :rotfl:
Working at home today, slow start as my phone conked out in the night so I had no idea what time it was and finally got up about 9.15, then had breakfast in the gardenUp and getting started now though!

Morning
Wednesday - £3.40 bus fares, 50p meeting donation, £10 ish food and treats:rotfl:
Thursday - £1.70 bus, £2 chocolate raisins and water after epic long run, £2 pop and sweets at gig
Ran 20 miles yesterday  Felt achey and about 100 years old:rotfl: After 14 miles I found someone barely conscious lying by the canal towpath, struggled to wake him and he was very confused so I rang an ambulance (I always feel like a twit ringing 999, and tend to be quite apologetic, like I'm bothering them needlessly). They'd picked him up before apparently. I didn't wait to see what happened.
Off to a little national conferencey thing for the weekendGot to drive down to near London, which I've never done before! I *think* the car may have a very slow puncture - not sure but given the distance I think I'm just going to see if I can get the tyre replaced anyway, not worth risking it if I don't have to. Then the weekend is paid for (including food) and I have a bit of cash in an envelope in case I want to buy books (or cake
) so all good
See you at the other side! :hello:0 -
Hope the guy was okay after. Well done you for stopping and ringing 999. And also for finishing your run afterwards and not going straight for "medicinal" tea and cake which I may have done
Enjoy your weekend. Good luck driving all that way (getting tyre looked at is a good idea) hope it's a good conference xGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Oh, poor neglected diary!!
Well I had a FAB time at the conferency thing (which was in a field, so not really 'conferency' at all :rotfl: ) Gorgeous mostly organic and local grub, and I was VERY pleased they did as any sensible folk would and reused leftovers for the next meal :money:
Had an envelope with £40 in to take with me as I wanted a couple of books and stuff, and it turned out the publishers had a stand with 50% off everything :money: Bought another one at a bit of a discount, so in the end I got £63 worth of books for £31 which I'm darned happy with as they were all things I'd been waiting to find a discount on:j :j :money:
Other than that, I just bought tea and cake (of course) but tea was just 50p if you took your own mug, which I did, as we had to take our own plates etc for the whole event anyway :rotfl:
Since then... goodness I can't rememberSome work-related food, I know that much, but I've been in the office 3 days in a row so other than work travel I haven't had time to buy anything!!
Just had the plumber round trying to make it so we can have hot water without putting the heating on... Boiler is older than me and it's been like this since well before I moved in 9 years ago... Tis a shameful waste of money, although we have an electric shower and can boil the kettle for washing up, so it's only really if one of us wants a bath or something that we put it on in the summer.
He's going to try and get a replacement part (which will be lucky as they're so old...) but if not it might be a whole day's work to rewire the system - and I might not bother as the boiler is so ancient it'll need replacing at some point anyway...0 -
I always since when people talk boilers. They are such money pits!!! Good luck it doesn't cost you too much.
Conference sounds fab. Love the fact you had to take your own plates and got a cheaper cup of tea if you brought your own mug. And you got a bargain on those books. Sounds like a good weekend all aroundGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000
