Ok so last night wasn't only 35p :o :rotfl: Got rather grumpy and stomped off and bought a large snickers, a ripple, and a takeaway :o:o :rotfl: although i'm taking takeaway from joint money as i only bought it because i couldn't get in the kitchen!!
so an extra £2 to declare for yesterday.

today just £10 at slimming world - lost 2.5lbs this week so heading back in the right direction although still 4lbs to go before i get back into the free zone again :o :rotfl:

right, off to make some tea. Not sure what I fancy, or what there is - possible recipe for disaster there!!

Thanks for all your advice. My half is 5th October. I know what you mean about the "next step" seeming impossible. I've started running with another mum from DD's school who has signed up for the Cardiff 10k with me in September. I'm stressing about my HM distance while she aditted she was afraid that she wouldn't make the 10k. I realised that I had been quite complacent about the 10k as I know I can finish that! :o

This is the first time I have actually stuck to a proper training programme. I am hoping to finish under 3hours.

Do you know where you are going on holiday now?
    Goals for February

Ooh, that's the same day as my marathon! :j I'll think of you on the way round :)

We booked holidays last night :j :j Much as we were tempted by somewhere in a little village half an hour drive from home :rotfl: we decided it was a bit too rural and went for a flat in Church Stretton :D Not what we'd normally pick but left it so late we didn't have much choice :rotfl:

£433 I think for the week - reduced from nearly £500 - an outlandish price but I suppose not toooo bad considering last minute and in the middle of the holidays!

Having a ridiculous day so far. Plugged phone in overnight but it didn't charge so alarm didn't go off and I missed several trains to work :o:o Finally got here at 11am, just in time for coffee break :rotfl: Would have snuck in the back door but stupidly forgot swipe card so had to confess :rotfl:

On the plus side I bumped into someone I did my PhD with but haven't seen for years, and because it was so late I got an off peak train ticket which saved me a grand total of 80p! :money: :rotfl:

And another NSD today! :j :j

No idea how many I'm up to now :o And I'm going to stop counting on Saturday when I go on holiday cos then everything comes from holiday/treats budget :D

Well definitely not a NSD today! :o

    £1.65 tea
    £2.36 baked potato for lunch
    £2.45 tea and cake
£2.50 fruit pastilles and cereal bar etc at station for tomorrow's massive long run

Could have claimed lunch but forgot the pesky receipt! Silly girl!!

Tomorrow... not sure. Got to run 17 miles so maybe I'll be too tired to spend anything after that!! :D :rotfl:
  • *gasp* 17 miles. Where's the 'collapse in a heap at the sound of it' smilie when you need it :D

:rotfl: Greying :D I actually ended up doing 18 in the end!! Took me a smigeon under 4 hours, which is quite a long time!!

Had to pay for parking - didn't dare just get 4 hours in case I didn't make it back in time so had to pay £4.50 for all day :rotfl: (I wouldn't have made it - stopped my watch while I went to the loo so was actually away for longer than 4 hours :rotfl: )

Also stopped at mile 16 at a cafe to buy a bit of flapjack for the end £1.50 :D

Off on holiday today though so everything now doesn't count :rotfl:
  • Safe travels Cheery and Mr Cheery :D

Thank you both, Churh Stretton was indeed VERY lovely with lots of charity shops, a little market and a cheery bun shop :D our flat was ace, gorgeous big sash windows all round the living room giving a panoramic view of the streets and the hills beyond, utterly lovely :j

Mostly sat looking out of the window and eating cake :D but we did manage a trip to the place they filmed Victorian Farm and to the Victorian Town museum in Ironbridge :) and a couple of cheery bike rides too :j lovely lovely

Not very MSE although we did mostly cook our own food and didn't really buy anything other than a huge stash of books and magazines from charity shops :o :rotfl: but there was a lot of tea and cake buying and the Victorian town cost £33 to get in   and we went to the pictures too, which was another £18

Feel rather bad that we accidentally sneaked into the victorian farm place without paying :o not on purpose you understand!! went on our bikes and followed signs for a tea shop (of course) amd ended up going through the back gate to the cafe, then wandered into the main farm expecting to have to go past a pay desk but there wasn't one unless you went in the main car park... but our bikes were locked in the little car park we:d gone in through sowe went back out that was :o

Mind you, two cups of tea and a chip butty cost knocking on for a tenner so i didn't feel too bad

anyway, back on the wagon now and i'll do a proper budget tomorrow - been pottering in the garden all afternoon doing some well needed sorting out! :j
