It does indeed! :j :j
Yep, me too on the dentist thing. Fortunately it doesn't actually HURT now, just tender when I try to touch or eat on it. Still not right though!
Just eating last night's kedgeree for lunch0 -
Hmm - may have found at least a partial explanation for continued gum pain and swelling - this morning I could feel a slight pointy bit sticking out of gum  so poked it a bit (of course) and it waggled more, so got in there and pulled - and removed two giant jaggedy shards of tooth!!
Dentist said tooth was whole when he removed it, but occasionally bits of teeth remain and work their way to the surface, but that happened early last week with a non-jaggedy bit and I thought that was it.
No wonder it's been sore!! Have kept bits of tooth and have been showing round the office at lunchtimeBet everyone's glad I'm leaving
:rotfl: :rotfl:
Ooh, I can see a rainbow out yhe window :j :j
Still going to the dentist on Thursday - might see if he can xray and make sure there's nowt else still in there!! :eek:0 -
Ouch - not at ALL surprised it's been sore then! Fingers crossed it might now sort itself out - sounds like a bit of further investigation might well be an idea though!

I confess if I'm on the train (or in a rush) and typing long verbose wafflings on the phone I tend not to bother going back to correct it
Flylady day 29 :j Today (amongst many other things :rotfl: ) she says :
When was the last time you actually played?
It is time for you to do something fun for yourself! Do you
know what that is? Have you forgotten what you love to
do? Sit down right now and think about things you
enjoying doing
OkIf you insist
I wouldn't have put it on the list, but I quite enjoyed clearing out another shelf in the kitchen cupboard tonight :rotfl: Did the spices etc shelf last time we were in the kitchen zonebut never got round to all the rest.
Tonight I set the timer for 15 mins and clambered onto a chair to reach the very top shelf - what I like to think of as the store cupboard :rotfl: I found:
* 1 tub caustic soda
* 2 packets citric acid (I'm fairly sure they had a specific purpose but no idea what :rotfl: Elderflower cordial maybe?!)
* 6 bags of pasta :rotfl:
* 5 opened and half used bags of flour
* 3 half used bags of soup mix
* a basket of spices - all open bags, and many of which I'd already replaced
Oh dear:rotfl:
Ah well, all wiped down now and at least I know what's up there :rotfl:
Middle shelf is an absolute wreck of rice, noodles, sugar, all manner of sticky brown stuff  :rotfl: Might tackle that tomorrow
Loving this 15 minute thingTis a very rare day that I can't put aside 15 mins to do *something* in the current zone, and it's really starting to make a difference to how the house looks and how I feel about it :j
I'm also spending five minutes a day doing a 'room rescue' in the worst room  Started in the attic - and actually in just a couple of weeks it was spick and span and the tidiest it's ever been for my mum to stay last weekend :j
Moved on to the bedroom  It's not the worst room - that's the workshop, but that's entirely Mr Cheery's domain so I'm leaving well alone
Spent my 5 mins in the bedroom hanging up some of the mountain of clothes that there isn't really room for in the wardrobe  Most of which aren't mine... I reckon another 2 days of 5 mins and the clothes will all be hung up (until next time, of course) and I'll be able to move on to something else :j :j
Right, promised myself I'd curl up early with hot water bottleBack in York tomorrow - half a day then I'm doing some Christmas shopping in York :j :j Very jolly
But I REALLY want to get into the habit of getting up more than 20 mins before I go out! :rotfl:

It really is amazing how much impact just 15 minutes can make, isn't it! I'm making good headway on training MrEH to do little things as well - he's no longer raising an eyebrow at me getting up to sort the kitchen after we've eaten, and is remembering to put dishes into the dishwasher too - my pet hate for a long while has been going into the kitchen to find them sitting on the worktop just above the dishwasher...
Citric acid - I have a feeling might be used in some form of cheese making? Mozzarella maybe? Pretty sure when we did that I cheated and just used lemon juice, but you managed to track down the actual stuff for it?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Ah yes, maybe mozzarella! :j Although I have a feeling I used lemon for that too and this was intended for cordial but I didn't make any.
Good excuse to make some mozzarella at the weekend I say:rotfl:
More Christmas shopping done, and if one more person who lives in York says 'why are you Christmas shopping in York, it's really boring' I will forcibly drag them to Sheffield and make them do ALL their holiday shopping there:rotfl: LOVE sheffield and have done most of my own presents there, but York has a MUCH more interesting selection of independent shops!
NEARLY all done now, except a few bits for Mr Cheery :j Going to start wrapping at the weekend, see whether I've missed anything obvious but don't think so...
Pondering a new MSE diary when I finish work - think I'll abscond over the fence to the MFW section  :rotfl: Love DFW but haven't been in debt for a long time now so feel a bit out of placeAnd we're aiming to have the house on the market by April so the next few months will be all about house-related finances.
Not sure I should be starting off a MFW diary as mortgage free and THEN taking out a large mortgage - feels slightly the wrong way round...:rotfl:

Morning chums :hello:
Slow to get going todayBut I'm here now
YNAB balanced, all good :j Receipts from Christmas shopping extravaganza yesterday all entered :j :j
Last day of Flylady babysteps for me too! Bit sad :rotfl: But SO chuffed - never got to the end beforeObviously I shall carry on with my routines and doing 15 mins a day in the zone and eventually (I hope) my house will look like some kind of show home :rotfl:
(fat chance:rotfl: But it might actually be clean, tidy and decorated enough to sell come March if I carry on!) :j :j
Did the final shelf in the kitchen cupboard last night :j Don't know why it was such a jumble, hardly anything on it now!All cleaned (thank heavens for stardrops
) and I've consolidated the 5 open packets of soup and broth mix (which we haven't used for yonks :rotfl: ) into one big jar
Might have to get Mr Cheery to unpack the slow cooker as it takes forever to cook! :rotfl:
Working at home today (eventually...) Spin class at lunch time (using up that gym membership! :j ) and then dentist later - although now those bits of bone have come out, it's feeling a LOT better! :j :j
FIVE working days left0 -
As I said in the lead-in to my current diary, I did try MFW for a while, but just couldn't handle the silently disapproving looks if I dared to spend on treats rather than setting it against overpayments! Didn't suit me at ALL! :rotfl: Far nicer, and friendlier over here IMO, and nobody's complained about me being a fraud YET, so I'm staying!
Nice work on the shopping - I think York is a lovely place so feel free to enlist my help in dragging people to Sheffield if required! (Although I don't think Sheffield is THAT bad, is it?!)🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
