No, no other stuff Cheery, just seeds - flax and pumpkin at the moment. Loaded onto porridge :)

Wibble is a great word, but its a great concept too - and it all gets summed up perfectly in one friendly little word :)

    Yawn.

Feel like I slept about 2 hours last night, if that  Most unlike me. Too much on my little tiny mind at the minute :o :rotfl:

Ah well, buttling on. In the office today and already having a better day than the bloke who fell asleep and woke up just as the train was pulling out of Doncaster :D :rotfl: Lots of swearing and much running about, and presumably he was rather late for work :rotfl:

Still no sweet stuff, and I've brought yogurt, almonds, babybel cheese things to snack on - possibly not ideal but all savoury at least :D

Yeah - today is the last loooooong day before our move!

I've been up since 3am with lists of last minute things running through my head! The absence of sugar yesterday actually means I'm less tired today!:j

KC - dried fruit is as addictive for me as cookies & cakes - and has the same effect on my blood sugar! So though I will put it in home baking or have it as part of an on the go lunch, as a snack it's a no go!

KC & Cheery - you are both so right about protein with every meal - this is something I've only been strict about in the past year & what a huge difference it makes to energy levels & banishment of brain fog!

Cheery - I'm amazed at your DIY prowess - I'd have found myself a nice man (not OH) and paid him rather than attempt to tackle it myself - not for lack of skill but because I'm prone to leaving things half done (or undone as usually the case)

Now as to adding the word "wibble"to my vocabulary? - Still not so sure...:D
    4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)
(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)
    ...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)
New projection - 14 YEARS 8 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 16 mths)
Psst...I may have started a diary!

:coffee::coffee: Coffee, anyone? Poor bloke in Doncaster!

I confess, I'm tired today too ... I pushed a bit too hard in the evening yesterday (banana bread!) so very little is going to get done today.

Loving your choice of snacks, Cheery - they're not empty calories, thats the thing, they'll have micronutrients of all sorts of stuff, as well as essential fats and proteins. You go girl :j:j:j

Ooh, last long day RT! :j :j Bet you're looking forward to a kip after that! :j :j

Got home last night to Mr cheery having taken a cupboard off the wall in the offshot entrance bit by the back door - paper all came off in one piece as it was so damp, and supporting wall of the house (the bit the offshot is attached to) is all damp with crumbling bricks   Apparently it was missed when they did the damp proof course years ago as it's not actually *outside* any more (but obviously still goes into the ground). Not sure that's a job I'll be tackling myself!!

*tries not to imagine the house falling down*

Ooh, just had a couple of phone calls - going to view 2 houses tomorrow and 2 next Friday :j :j :j

Tomorrow, one is a fairly ordinary rambling bungalow with a decent garden, main advantage being we probably wouldn't need a mortgage for it :j

The other is gorgeous, with a 2 storey outbuilding in the garden, and is right at the top of what we can afford. Sadpy we're seeing this one first so I imagine the other will look rather a disappointment :rotfl: I also happen to know there's planning permission for 55 flats opposite the posh one... so need to investigate whether that would be a problem!

    Exciting :j

And also bonkers. What happens if we fall for one of them?! No idea how quickly we could get our house ready to sell, and even then it might take yonks  Mind you, both of these have been on the market for nearly a year so I can't imagine they're in a rush either!

I missed this first time round - hope you're doing well, RT :)

 Though I believe it takes longer than you think - check out the state of some of the houses Sarah Beeny goes into on her various TV programmes

Indeed :D All you can do is see whats out there and which of them you like - you're not looking after other people by not going to see these houses :) But every time you mention it, I want to rush to Rightmove and see whats around, I have to say :rotfl:

    :rotfl: Sorry :D :rotfl:

You're quite right, of course, to put it like that - I'm not looking after anyone by not going to see them. I still feel like I'm asking a big favour when I ask if I can go and view a house (not helped by getting 20 questions every time and every single estate agent trying to sell me mortgage advice/get me to agree to house valuation etc  )

Struggling with toothache today :o Got so bad earlier I even rang the dentist to see if I could bring my appointment forward to have tooth out - 6 weeks is a LONG time to wait! We've managed to bring it forward by 5 days  so I'm still waiting til April 16th

Hoping that it'll get a bit more bearable after a few days of not eating sweet stuff, but had none today and it still hurts rather a lot

Going to stock up on painkillers on the way home - you see, this is what I get for leaving it and leaving it, hoping it'll go away... :o

    Thinking of you.

Not hurt today fortunately! :j (so far...) Got some clove oil somewhere, will investigate.

Two house viewings today, and a trip to see a pal's new house too :j :j

Weird day. First house utterly GORGEOUS. Giant, 6 bedrooms, huge entrance hall, library (!), gorgeous lounge, wood panelled conservatory, kitchen, and utility room, pantry, dining room, 'arts and hobbies room', two storey outbuilding with its own toilet (!), greenhouse... I confess I was utterly smitten :o So many little built in cupboards and tiny staircases. Utterly glorious :D

Sadly the current owner has sold off part of the garden to someone who's building a house on it. Estate agent said a bungalow (which I'll check) but it'll still mean a wall about 3 foot from the conservatory, completely blocking the view, and meaning the garden will be even more overlooked than it already is from the houses at the back. Planning permission for a 5 storey block of flats over the road too.

Second house I loved, but Mr Cheery didn't :rotfl: Little old lady bungalow, with lovely little old lady living in it :D Really sunny lounge and lovely little conservatory, cheap but needed a load of things doing, and an ace garden for chickens :j :j

Main problem with both of them is the area... it's a good 45 minute drive out, some fab houses but overall pretty grim. High street is betting shop, pub, some kind of housing advice centre etc (althgouh there was a greengrocer and a bakery too :j )

Had lunch in a cheery little cafe and saw someone buying hard drugs from a van outside. Nice.

Also walked past the two houses we're going to see next week in the same place - again, both gorgeous from the outside. Sadly, one of them was just round the corner from the midday drug dealing and you could actually see the BED from the car park at the back of the library  The other was more tucked away and like some kind of giant palace so we'll see...

Went to visit a friend who's not long bought a house in another area, closer to home but still a way out. Not really considered it round there til recently but it's actually quite nice (certainly compared to drug-land!) We'd seen a house for sale round the corner so went to investigate - accessed up a cheery little footpath from the road :j Sadly they too have sold half their garden for another house so left with a tiny little hemmed in thing. Why do people keep doing that?!

Anyway, worn out now and going to someone else's house for tea  Just thawing out and then will put the sealant round the bath - been trying to get round to it all week! :rotfl:
