I use sensitive toothpaste, and sometimes floss
Off to the dentist at 12.15 :j
Hard to focus todayLots of work to do but somehow looking at houses seems more interesting...

And there lies the peril of working from home .... plus you're away in 15 minutes! Hope it goes well.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Yep, I'd definitely prefer to be working in the office - just not practical where I am now sadly! Long term plans, long term plans...
Been to dentist - he's poked out the little bit of tooth/porcelain/cement/whatever trapped between crown and next tooth which has been annoying me for weeks - it moves but wouldn't come out! Gone now
And patched up wisdom tooth temporarily with something with clove oil in - apparently it's completely crumbling and will have to come out... Not too worried - last tooth I had out was by a student dentist  2 hours, 9 injections, and we eventually had to get supervising dentist to do it after most of the anasthetic had worn off  Whatever this guy does will be better than that!!
Booked it for late April, after big project at work has finished. Can't be doing with several days of severe pain before that
Right - no anaesthetic this morning so I can eat in a minute :j :j Poached eggs and some nice wholemeal rolls I think :j And I've bought some (savoury) snacks for work tomorrow too :j
Then I'm going to ring round some estate agents and see if I can arrange some viewings for Friday :j :j Not going to point you towards what we're viewing because we might actually end up living there and you never know who's watching...but I'll link if we decide not to go for them
Suffice to say Mr Cheery and I are mostly excited about different ones :rotfl: but I think they'd all be acceptable
Shame ours is still a complete tip and nowhere near ready to sell  Making us shift though!!0 -
And you're not in pain now? Hope not ...
I have to say tho, I love working from home! My MoneyMustache gets twirled :rotfl: (I've been reading a few posts this morning, and sorting out incorrect credit card debits - very Mustachian).

I like some things about working from home - but I do find it hard to focus, especially at the minute with the house in disarray. I confess I do far more work in the office
and I think I'd prefer to keep them separate, at least in this job!
Not in pain at the minute fortunately :j :j
Just rang up about Mr Cheery's favourite house :j She's going to ring back in 10 mins then I can get on with ringing the others - trying to fit 3 into the same day (they're quite close together, although not actually in Sheffield!)
Wibble.0 -
Good luck :j
Wibble is my all-time favourite word. Fact2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I've no clue what wibble is my lovelies - and not so sure I want to g00gle it! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Can report that I've managed to stay off sugar since yesterday! Had an apple to satisfy the urge for sweetness - a proper full lunch of leftovers & a huge salad will hopefully keep me full enough to avoid the biscuit tin & the box of stuffed dates someone "kindly" brought in!
Another 16 hour day today - 2 more days until our move to temp office space & year end is looming! - at least there is overtime money at the end of the tunnel & it can be chucked to the debt!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)New projection - 14 YEARS 8 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 16 mths)Psst...I may have started a diary!0 -
16 hour day?!  Well done on avoiding the sweets - positively heroic in those circumstances!! :j :j
I too have stayed off the sugar :j :j Weetabix and banana for breakfast, couple of yogurts (which yes, have sugar in, but I don't binge eat them so they're staying - not being purist about this!), apple, and I was about to tell you I didn't have any lunch, but in fact I had two very nice poached eggs and wholemeal bread rolls :rotfl:
Booked a house viewing for ludicrous mansion:j :j She talked me into seeing another house straight after - one we'd dismissed weeks ago when we weren't even considering this area, but now seems quite appealing, and has 5 bedrooms
Plenty of room for all our stuff :rotfl: Doing both of them next Friday.
Also rang about posh one right at the edge of our budget but with GORGEOUS garden and 2 storey outbuilding  :j She's ringing me back (possibly when she's checked out if I'm enough of a grown up :rotfl: )
One more to ring up about when I know about that one :j0 -
16 hours!!!! Thats horrible - definitely heroic to stay off the sugar in that situation. Is dried fruit a no-no for you, RT?
Cheery - the houses are sounding great. And you *know* I'm with you on not being purist about the sugar ... though I have to tell you, if I had to eat Weetabix, I'd be loading it with *something* - sunflower seeds, the yogurt instead of milk, *something*You know what, though - I heard Oprah Winfrey say something really sensible about diet once (I know! I know! But still ...). If you're stopping the things that you eat because they taste good, other tastes have to become stronger - so more spices, more herbs, more tomato puree, more balsamic vinegar, whatever it is ... does that appeal to either of you two?
Oh, and my own thing is protein - if I don't get *lots* of protein, I'll eat badly.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Would you be loading the weetabix with other stuff for protein KC? I do make sure I have some kind of protein in all my other meals, but breakfast tends to be more about carbs for me
And there's a bit of protein in bananas so I reckon I got away with it this morning
Not sure I could eat weetabix with yogurt - I rather like the sogginess of it soaked in milk... I might have added seeds if we'd had any :rotfl:
Ooh! And I meant to say about 'wibble'I use it when I'm, er, wibbling about something
:rotfl: Being unnecessarily a bit scared of something that isn't really that scary - to me that's wibbling
Usually about something exciting (but also scary) or something you haven't done before. I'm sure there's a better definition! It's a great word
